The secret Love of a crisis – it’s not what you think!

The subconscious ego may be torn up and desperately distraught …. circles over and over in despair, depression, worry, and fear about the global and very personal issues we face now …… without finding any value in it at all.  Yet, there is value in everything, including the present challenges. 

Difficulties can challenge us to pause, ponder and contemplate …. to go within …… to seek joy and happiness. Isn’t it true that we seek strength, wisdom, freedom and harmony? Even the subconscious cries for freedom from misery. Urns for happiness. Pleads for strength and wisdom.  

The subconscious ego wants to reject the way things are now, and would much rather focus on the future or the past without fully experiencing life now. Yet, it’s an opportunity missed. So many, many opportunities missed to consciously experience life. Gone.

If we view every challenge, every problem, every opposition  …..  as an opportunity to find within us a greater response then …… we are encouraged to look within to find our sown strengths …… to rediscover our Soul’s Strength, Wisdom, Truth and Love.

Challenges can prompt us to pause, ponder, and become Silent …… and that’s when we are better able to look deep within and recognize our own Inner Real Self. We may find that we are in the moment fully ….. appreciating Life.

And there can be victory in our hearts ….. and this is a secret Love within us awakening ….. Unconditional Love and Joy.

Gratitude may arise for the awareness of what is happening. Not for the crisis, problem or opposition, rather gratitude for the awareness of serenity and love always being close at hand. Gratitude for the infinite opportunities in this moment. Gratitude for some higher conscious understanding, that may not be logical, rather something deeper and far reaching ….. life changing.

And we can know ….. that if we do fall when facing challenges, it is temporary because we have a deep drive within us to succeed in life. It may take a while and we can hit bottom. Yet, eventually we will, with the help of the Great Principle, find the courage to dust ourselves off and face life again ….. and this is a great gift of Unconditional Love.

The subconscious ego can hold us in frustration, lack, and unhappy times, yet a simple decision to rise above it can change everything and our reality can transform.

We are the creators of our reality …. with our attitudes, thoughts and behaviors. Your greatest asset for creating a happy life is yourself ….. your Inner spiritual will and Authentic Self. Remember that the Eternal is always within You, endlessly working for your happiness. You only need to allow it ….. allow all the uplifting Energy, Intelligence, Truth and Love to be in your consciousness and life.

And remember that everything …..everything we think, decide, or do returns to us! And this is also what we attract more of.

Here are some simple ways to create happy days …..

Start your day …….by going within! Take some time to be with yourself and know your loving heart, conscious awareness and inner strength. Do some deep breathing and contact Universal Life Energy, which works to harmonize body, mind and emotions.

Do an attitude check! If you start with an uplifting attitude it can stay with you throughout your day, motivating positive thoughts and behaviors. So consider telling yourself that today is full of happy potential ….. it’s an awesome day! Smile! You are activating the Law of Attraction!

Paint visualizations in your mind of your Happiness ….. what makes you happy and feel it as if it is right at this moment. Know for certain and write it, say it, be in that energy now. This is what you attract and create.

Have an attitude of gratitude. View challenges as opportunities to learn from and improve your well-being. And learn from your mistakes rather than circling in them.

Throughout the day allow yourself to be in the present moment. Accept the moment as it is. See the good in it. That simple decision can change your brain’s neurochemistry to a positive direction. Obsessive worry or constantly thinking the same thoughts, especially of the past, can keep us stuck in that frequency.

Listen to, dance to, sing to ….. feel good music ….. for example, “Happy” by Pharrell,I Got You (I Feel Good)” by Brown, “Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart,Largo al factotum’ by Rossini. It’s amazing how uplifting great music can be!

Dance ,,,,, exercise, eat healthy, and get plenty of sleep. When you feel good on one level it manifests in other levels ….. so if we eat healthy, exercise and get plenty of rejuvenating sleep it benefits our attitudes and behaviors to feel good and be happy!

Clear the clutter …… a simple environment helps release you from past energies, attitudes and memories, opening paths before you with fresh, uplifting energies.

Make the decision to listen to your Heart and be lead by Love. Live FourSquare – be enthusiastic, wise, accurate and loving in all that you do. It’ll build your self-esteem, confidence and attract more feel good opportunities for successes.

See the good in yourself and others. Be a Light in the world. Lend a hand, heart and mind to help others. Give the healing Energy to the world.

Simple effort can have major effects and change your life!

We can sit in a quiet place to meditate and all that happens is thinking. We are so addicted to thinking that we feel empty, lost without it.

It takes courage to go into the gaps ….. to become aware of the silence in-between the streams of thinking. It takes courage to go out of our comfort zone …. to pause, observe the quiet ….. go silent within…… and experience zero thoughts.

And we may not even be aware that such a thing is even possible until we try it ….. until we experience it. And interestingly, when we do experience it …… it is such a calm peace that we can get excited about it and we have to quiet that excitement too.

We may experience cycles of silence …… thinking …… silence …… excitement …… silence. And realize we are stretching out the gaps of silence between the streams of thinking, with the thinking streams becoming shorter and the gaps of silence longer in the sense of the human mind.

The point is that in the Silence we are mentally relaxed, physically relaxed, emotionally relaxed.

We are in the physical world, yet free of the heavy senses of it. We are in the mental world, yet free of the demanding and addictive thinking of it. Free of the collective, human subconscious and free of the inner ego, with the memories, beliefs and assumptions of the past.

We are in the human emotional, behavioral world….. yet free of it. Free of guilt, fear, anger, impatience and all the drama, highs and lows.

We are allowing ourselves to return to our true nature …… and this is a healing process for us. We remember and allow ourselves to embrace the beauty of our loving nature ….. to the courageous heart that allows, permits acceptance of what is. Acceptance of what is the condition of life in the moment ….. for ourselves and for others.

And from this experience of Silence …… the experience of freedom from the human ego along with the past attachments and ties to the future ….. we begin to experience the freedom in our daily life moment to moment, seeing the opportunity to build on that freedom for our happiness.

Many believe that pride is a ‘good’ quality and …

Though pride may seem supportive of us initially, pride blocks our expansion and is damaging. It lacks love and blocks us from freedom, happiness and our True Self. But, we have been programmed and conditioned to falsely identify with pride, feeling obligated to defend our positions, beliefs, and possessions. Yet there are ways to rise above it and regain our peace of mind.

To release pride …

It helps to realize how it works and how it gains a foothold of self-righteousness in us. Pride is a conditioned emotion based in the past ….. most likely when we were young and naive. And we tend to envisage this conditioning of pride into our decisions and choices without being conscious of it!

Pride displays defensiveness which implies fear and doubt that the object of pride is not strong enough to stand on its own merit and is open to question. A very prideful person, religious group or social movement is locked into a position or belief by fear, making it very difficult to advance or admit a mistake!

Focus may be on what is believed to be missing, with energies of disappointment, resentment, even anger and hatred, attracting more of the same energies. Anger, fear and hatred makes the prideful person feel that they are entitled to act-out, protest, become violent and even kill or maim those that don’t agree. And this also makes them vulnerable to counter-attack!

When we love and appreciate ourselves, a social movement or religion, the opinion of others has no power over us. We no longer need to be right. We recognize our self-worth and Inner joy arises because of love and enjoyment.

We acknowledge any intrinsic problems as works in progress. And this invokes attitudes that problems can be worked out satisfactorily with the world.

So how do we let go?

Pride is a label …. nothing real ….. an illusion and tool of the subconscious ego to continue its control. It helps to remember that nothing has any meaning other than what we give to it! And it makes it easy to let go since it was an illusion to begin with.

Peace of mind naturally rises within us, because there is nothing to defend or be angry about. Each time we recognize pride and get ahead of it, it’s easier to release

Release is a process of surrender …

 We can give pride new meaning ….. and that is by viewing it as an opportunity to learn and grow ….. to surrender to Unconditional Love ….. and regain our peace of mind. We can reclaim our freedom from the burden of defensiveness, blame, arrogance, anger, vulnerability, fear and smug self-righteousness.

Attract what we want!

 Our emotions are creative energies and with practice we can achieve our goals harmoniously by picturing them lovingly and allowing them, according to Universal Law rather than by our personal will.

We can deliberately create by deliberately choosing uplifting thoughts and emotions like appreciation, gratitude, optimism, compassion and Love. And with these energies we attract through the Law of Attraction and Love the necessary conditions and opportunities for success. 

The greatest gift we can give ourselves is recognition and release of harmful attitudes like pridefulness, fear and self-righteousness ….. and surrender to Unconditional Love. This is surrender to Source, Universal Life Energy and allowing our True Self to Be.

One of the easiest ways to recognize pride within our own selves is to observe our thoughts when interacting with others.

As discussed in the pervious entry, we want to get to the bottom of the emotion that causes all the prideful thinking and struggle of defensiveness ….. by recognition, release and surrender.

Trying to cope? Stress is addictive! Here comes relief with RRS

So many of us are feeling stressed! …. especially during these times of covid and social unrest. Many people are doing double duties ….. parents working from home and simultaneously schooling their children! Some of us have been been laid-off but still have mortgages and bills to pay.

 We’ve become stress, if we weren’t already, but stress blocks us from our peak performance! It’s a habit of survival mode! We don’t purposely become addicted to stress, but it’s something known to us ….. familiar. We may even believe we should be stressed …. it’s our reputation on the line after all! Yet …..  stress is actually abnormal. 

And though stress has physical symptoms and even produces hormones like cortisol that can make us physically ill and fat ….. stress is a mental consciousness issue. Calm, collected and confident is our natural state, which puts us in top performance condition. And we can return to our natural state with conscious intent.

Relaxation will give limited relief of stress, but we must get to the source of stress ….. which is emotional ties like anger, fear and resentment ….. in order to rise above it.

Consider these 4 simple methods to get relief!

# 1 – The simplest thing to do when we are tempted to get stressed is to do the opposite. Breathe in the calm and loving energy of Universal Life Energy. Mind is unable to stop itself from circling in thoughts and feelings even if we tell it to “stop thinking!” We need higher help.

If you felt the pressure of stress come from someone else, like your boss, coworkers or partner, send them Light filled with loving, compassionate thoughts. And mentally negate stress by saying and aligning with something like, “Stress has no power over me. I am calm, collected and loving.”

#2 – Do something else physically:  Move ….. walk to a quiet place if possible ….. preferably in nature. Pause ….. take a deep breathe …. several. Deep breathing naturally induces relaxation ….. and calms the mind and emotions. Moving the body and coming into it mentally by breathing takes the energies from thoughts and feelings.

#3 – Contact Universal Life Energy. IT is a great gift of Our Father. It can help us surrender to Unconditional Love that is within us before we may even remember it.

#4 – Move into a higher level of consciousness with sincere intent from pride into courage ….. by mentally envisioning dropping stress ….. release stress like you would a pencil from your hand, or like a block you burn in the pure fire of Unconditional Love of Universal Life Energy. 

And to release the deeper emotional causes of stress consider the method below.

We have been unconsciously programmed …

like a computer and conditioned to stress because of our mental naivety …. perhaps for thousands of years. We’ve seen adults experience it when we were children. We’ve seen co-workers experience it. It may be programmed in our DNA and cell memories that still causes us “fight, flight, freeze” reactions. This is when contact with Universal Life Energy is invaluable because it naturally harmonizes fear, the deeper emotion. 

Even though others, our boss and co-workers can become stressed, remember …… no-one can make us stressed ….. just like no-one can make us mad….. it’s what we allow. Be conscious of  emotional contagion! The energies of stress can enter the subconsciousness to grow unconsciously making us feel uneasy most of the time!

Questions to get to the bottom of it! 

If we face it ….. the job or issue at hand itself doesn’t cause stress ….. it’s the meaning we give to it! It’s our own internal feelings about it. It’s personal! And we feel personally obligated to fulfill expectations.

The mind created this problem of stress ….. but can’t control it. We can’t control our thoughts ….. our feelings! One emotion can cause a thousand thoughts! We want to get to the bottom of the emotion that causes all the thinking ….. recognition, release and surrender ….(RRS  …  🙂

To begin recognition: Take a deep breathe, relax, go silent and make the Mental Contact. Come into the present moment and observe in a detached state ‘the thinker’ before questioning.

These questions are more of what rather than why ….. mostly because why questions are abstract and we can get blogged down in memories and associated feelings. What questions can lead back to the base emotion without entanglement!

Questions like: For what? So what? Of what? Then what? 

What does it feel like? What are the physical symptoms? Sometimes simply observing the physical symptoms or sensations and labeling it like ‘pressure around the heart’ or ‘difficult to take deep breathes’ (the one I often experienced) makes it easier to recognize! Pressure for what? For what purpose?

The primary question:  What’s the payoff?

The ego will fight tooth and nail at this point! It feeds on the belief of stress and hyped up emotions to keep it alive and kicking!

What’s the payoff for feeling stressed? …. To feel better about ourselves? …. To feel like we’re at least doing something?

Does it fill the hole of low self-esteem? What for? To compensate for insecurities, shame, guilt, fear? 

Fear of what? ….. Fear of not being good enough ….. not being fit to be loved, lovable?

Staying in self-analysis and question mode is not the objective and we could circle and get trapped there if we dilly dally ….. so consider moving to more beneficial steps!

Try this …..nothing has any meaning other than what we give to it!

It may helpful to look at A Course in Miracles which is viewed by most spiritually minded people, It has Christian connotations, but can be used by anyone! You can listen to YouTube explanations to learn what the coarse is all about.

There are 365 lessons …. one practice for each day of the year. Hence, I am sharing the first 10 lessons in the workbook, which I found to be very helpful to release arrogance and ‘know it all’ attitudes which are related to stress:  so practice thinking and realizing as per instruction several times a day!

 – Lesson 1, Day 1 – Look at any object in the room or outside and say/realize – “Nothing I see in this room (on this street, from this window, in this place) means anything.” …. page 23 of workbook.

– Lesson 2 – “I have given everything I see in this room (on this street, from this window, in this place) all the meaning that it has for me.”

– Lesson 3 – “I do not understand anything I see in the room (on this street, from this window, in this place).”

– Lesson 4 – ” These thoughts do not mean anything. They are like the things I see in the room (on this street, from this window, in this place).”

Lesson 5 – ” I am never upset for the reason I think.”

– Lesson 6 – ” I am upset because I see something that is not there.”

– Lesson 7 – “I see only the past.” (It takes at least a split second for anything we see to travel to the brain and process! Hence …. a true statement. And stress and expectations are based in the past!)

– Lesson 8 – “My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.”

– Lesson 9 – “I see nothing as it is now.”

– Lesson 10 – “My thoughts do not mean anything.”

It may be helpful to write these down and keep a journal to record realization of release of subconscious conditioning programmed from the past.

Release and surrender

Recognition of stress and release of emotional causes are essential processing, yet the primary one is surrender ….. surrender ourselves ….. our thinking and emotions ….. our expectations …… to Unconditional Love. When we allow ourselves to recognize, release and surrender to Love …… we discover our innate courage and real security!

There is sureness and gentleness rather than hurry when we release stress because we are conscious that there is always plenty of time to do what is essential. We trust in the Great Law!

What we gain 

We can view stress, or any other emotional issue, by finding the value in it …. by giving it new meaning …. by viewing it as an opportunity to learn and grow.

The release of stress gives us the opportunity to surrender to Unconditional Love ….. and regain our peace of mind. This is a great gift ….. because we have also lightened the burden of defensiveness, resentment anger, and self-punishment. We are less vulnerable and fearful.

We are calmer, happier and more powerful.

Free will or determinism?

Many societies regard free will as a human right, where we are free to determine our destiny. But there are some that feel everything is predetermined by unknown causes, where our birth to death is already set and there is nothing to do about it other than enjoy the ride in between! Which is reality – free will or determinism?

Another dimension 

Evidence is that things are determined about us before we are even born into this incarnation. Our DNA, genes and cell memories are programmed determining our physical characteristics like sex, eye color, etc. Since we are born with programming of our DNA and genes, it’s possible that the time of  our birth and perhaps even the time of our physical death are also predetermined by some unknown causes.

Yet, the unknown causes of these programs could actually be our own choices as souls with the help of the Great Principle and Unconditional Love! If we can make choices in one dimension then according to the Law of Analogy, we can in other dimensions.

This dimension 

 After birth we are mentally and emotionally conditioned by the collective human subconscious by our families, environment and society at large. We are conditioned because of the naïveté of our individual consciousness. We are ignorant about how this works….. how we co-create our dualistic, human reality ….. about how we’ve made it with Unconditional Love with the help of our Father.

The Great Principle is the Creator and IT also backs us up as we use our will to shape conditions for outcomes in Universal Laws like Attraction, Cause and Effect, Polarity, Gender, Rhythm. But in that creation we can get lost in the collective human subconsciousness.

Yet we are very capable of knowing ourselves and living in the present moment unattached  ….. observe ourselves uninvolved in past emotional attachments and conditioning. We can learn to elevate our consciousness and recognize temptations like fear, anger, and envy ….. then release them before we cycle in them again. 

What it takes ….

This process of overcoming our mental naïveté  requires courage and a higher level of consciousness. I say courage because we usually observe things about ourselves that are not pretty!

I was surprised when I realized that I carried conditioning of anger unnoticed, because I am a relatively calm person. When any temptation of anger crops-up  now I release it and the fear behind it or redirect the anger for positive motivation. Then I surrender to Unconditional Love.

The ego would feel very justified to feed on negative emotional energies like anger, fear and envy. Yet our Real Self, which is the spark of the Eternal within, inspires us to reach for higher levels of consciousness like courage, compassion and goodwill. These emotions are ours in the present moment when we willingly choose them!

Release and surrender ….

When we train ourselves and strengthen our will to choose higher levels of consciousness we are on the cutting edge of mental mastery and physical reality. We attract more of the same uplifting energies and destroy negative impulses within ourselves ….. and hence we co-create a more harmonious reality. 

And when we add to our conscious practice contact with the Great Field of Universal Life Energy, we are contacting all Power and Harmony to help. That Harmony burns away fear, negative programing and conditioning bit by bit.

What’s it about …..

We can view our destiny from both perspectives  – free will choices and determinism.We are born with certain characteristics, DNA and genes. Our preprogramming and egotistic conditioning can block us from our True Self and harmonious reality. Yet ….. by developing our mental awareness and free will we can recognize and release egotistic conditioning as in determinism. And with that same free will we can choose to manifest higher levels of consciousness aligned with the FourSquare …. Strength, Intelligence, Truth and Love.

With hatred comes ….. spiritual opportunity

For those of us that are conscious of being on our spiritual journey, we realize that these are dangerous times. Not necessarily because of unrest and violence ….. or even of sickness and physical death from a virus ….. though they are real physical dangers  …. the danger lies in being seduced by frustration, fear and hatred ….. of getting mentally and emotionally lost in the collective subconscious ego.

Deliberate, impersonal attitude ….. caring motivation

You’ve heard that song that goes, “I can’t get no satisfaction!”…. That frustration has become very public. Frustration is like the match that has ignited a wildfire of hatred! The narcissistic ego has gotten frustrated with conditions ….. conditions of restrictions with the virus ….. and conditions of restrictions in society ….. blaming others has ignited a wildfire of hatred.

And that wildfire is greedy …. spreading ….. jumping …. fanning more problems. Motivated by hatred, the infantile ego makes demands and feels entitled to express its frustration with rebellion and violence ….. without consideration of others ….. or consequences!

In the subconscious’ perversion of love ….. the criminal becomes the victim ….. the police become the criminal aggressors instead of the protectors in the eyes of self-righteousness. Having been born of ignorance, pride and impatience, the subconscious ego feeds its own imperfections, causing havoc.

Fighting against hatred or being sympathetic feeds hatred

Shortcomings within the ego can be seduced by the false empowerment of hatred ….  and can be tempted to join the bandwagon! Yes, we should fight ….. we should fight for what we love ….. with a sense of calm, sincere Love. 

Hatred is challenge ….  and it can become a catalyst to align with our Inner freedom, strength and Unconditional Love. Love is the Great Harmonizer ….. strong, wise and compassionate. 

Fight for what we Love

Do the opposite of hatred ….. be Lighthearted ….. give the gift of a smile for the stranger we pass. Do acts of kindness. Be sincere and motivated by love rather than fear. This is living a conscious heart. Mind and Love are aligned.

Being in the present moment and conscious of Presence ….. of being One with the Great Field of Universal Life Energy ….. and manifesting FourSquare qualities in all that we do  …… we attract more of the same energies  contributing to not only our own health and happiness, but everyone’s.

Healing and growth …

Can spring from knowing ourselves …. the good, the bad, the ugly. Self-analysis as taught in Lesson 12 of the 27 Lesson in Science of Being is a wonderful practice ….. especially for emotional, social challenging conditions like those we face today.

Recognizing our individual shortcomings can give us an inner sense of integrity and diminished defensiveness, and therefore, we are emotionally less vulnerable and more likely to actively construct a progress reality.

Consciously expand and rise up ….

A society’s fall can come from moral decay within. The infantile ego drives on the cynical drama of hatred. The subconscious ego ….. perverts  love ….. abuses ….. social freedom and progressive intents with moral decay, lacking the ability to reason or use common sense.

Face the challenge

We are challenged to live a conscious and compassionate life! A few Beings manifesting compassionate and loving attitudes and actions out weighs, so to speak, multitudes of infantile egos and hatred. 

It’s an opportunity to set our spiritual will ….. choose to be focused in our sincerity and intent to establish Harmony within ….. to FourSquare things ….. set things right

The more we are Sincere and use our spiritual will to align with Truth ….. put Truth into our thinking, attitudes and behaviors ….. the more Spiritual we are.

With hatred comes ….. spiritual opportunity

For those of us that are conscious of being on our spiritual journey, we realize that these are dangerous times. Not necessarily because of unrest and violence ….. or even of sickness and physical death from a virus ….. though they are real physical dangers  …. the danger lies in being seduced by frustration, fear and hatred ….. of getting mentally and emotionally lost in the collective subconscious ego.

Deliberate, impersonal attitude ….. caring motivation

You’ve heard that song that goes, “I can’t get no satisfaction!”…. That frustration has become very public. Frustration is like the match that has ignited a wildfire of hatred! The narcissistic ego has gotten frustrated with conditions ….. conditions of restrictions with the virus ….. and conditions of restrictions in society ….. blaming others has ignited a wildfire of hatred.

And that wildfire is greedy …. spreading ….. jumping …. fanning more problems. Motivated by hatred, the infantile ego makes demands and feels entitled to express its frustration with rebellion and violence ….. without consideration of others ….. or consequences!
