When we’ve done something we judge as very wrong, we tend to compromise and overlook the truth, thinking …. ‘well, it’s not so bad,’ and let it slide.
But compromise causes destructive, inner turmoil. Somehow we know within that Truth is Law and uncompromising.
When I realize I have made a mistake and am tempted to criticize myself or others placing blame and guilt. I become grateful for the wisdom to see the truth …. ‘I made a mistake.’
The courage to rise above a mistake naturally unfolds when I acknowledge responsibility for my mbehavior! And I am grateful for recognition of the mistake and the courage to rise above it.
And as my thinking becomes calm and quiet, I pause in that wonderful awareness any negative temptations are released.
So how do we avoid comprising, destructive thinking?
Express the FourSquare:
First, consider having a positive attitude. Be optimistic, hopeful. This sets us on a positive course.
Then be aware, Conscious, reasonable, considerate. Without Wisdom we cannot be successful in anything.
And be truthful. If we ignore or deny the truth of the situation, we tend to compromise or let things slide, which arouses fear, causing a divided, restless, destructive mind.
You have the courage to walk the path of Truth: with optimism, with wisdom, and with clear sincere eyes, mind becomes calm. And we get a clear indication of being on the path of Truth, feeling inner Peace…. our natural state.
Truth opens the door within us to Harmony. And we can express that calm harmony as Goodwill. We begin to move beyond the mistake and co-create harmony in our human reality.
There are no shortcuts, no comprises, with Truth to reach Harmony.

“Goodwill is the finest expression today of Love. It does not seek anything for its own use; it is generous.”
Eugene Fersen, “The Teacher,” The Public Years of the Baron Eugene Fersen – Volume I, page 87.
When I first heard my spiritual teacher say, “Santa Claus is a lie,” I was dazed and confused even though I knew it was true. I had been repeatedly programmed to believe he is real! But, the truth slowly sank into my conscious understanding. And I was finally freed of the illusion along with the accompanying stress, obligations and expectations. And I am so grateful.
Traditional lies and illusions can cause us to distrust our inner knowing and to feel guilty unless we take steps to expose and rise above them.
Traditional lies
During our childhood we are taught to blindly believe in certain traditions and that they are good even if we suspect something is off. And we often carry on the same traditions without considering the consequences.
The human mind is naive, especially when we are young. The ego’s desire to belong and not be left out is so strong that we blindly become ‘followers’ and stuck in serving the ego’s world.
Liberation comes through conscious awareness and Love
Until we consciously awaken, question, discriminate and listen to our inner Love and guidance, we will accept every belief, superstition and prejudice without discrimination, which can cause us to experience self-righteousness, anger, hatred and guilt.
Yet such feelings can help those of us on a conscious spiritual journey because we have the opportunity to ask ourselves as to why we feel these thoughts and can consciously choose to serve a Higher purpose rather than the ego.
Take it or leave it
We can expand our consciousness and open to the tenderness of our heart. And, the connection to our sacred heart center leads to answers; the true reasons back of emotional disturbances.
Such insights and inspirations are messages from your soul. And, we all have additional help, including from greater realms of Harmony and the Great Principle.
You can have new thoughts. Old thoughts can be replaced with new ones, more accurate ones. With insight you can change your perspective. And your experience of reality will radically change.
Truth or consequences
The way you respond to conditions in life determines the way you evolve. It determines your power, health, success and happiness. You can be conscious of creating in the Light of Love or circle unconsciously in the consequences of karma.
But, even the path of pain, stress and doubt can lead us through the lesson to love and compassion. When we’ve suffered enough we will look for the reason why and do something about it. But we can consciously choose not to think and circle in old beliefs. And as they leave new thoughts enter and we can move on.
Being free of a false belief releases you from expectations, obligations and the mass dream. A burden lifted off your back and opens you to being conscious of the Light of Love.
All lessons lead us to remember Love eventually,
which is the base of unconditional Love.

“Let us lift our eyes from this increasing darkness to the pure Light of Knowledge, aflame with Love – that bright Star on the firmament of Life, which is heralding now to mankind, the Dawn of a New Day, the Day of Spiritual Regeneration, which is to bring to man lasting Justice, Peace and Happiness.”
Eugene Fersen
Consider watching a 3 minute video on the origin of Santa Claus:
Few of us realize what world violence is all about. It’s complicated in humanity’s mind since most disharmony between nations and peoples has been raging for ages and causes may be blurred.
It’s simple really …. it’s all about survival and control. On the surface it’s about survival and control of people, their beliefs, cultures, programming. But on a deeper level it about survival and control of a part all of us that is fading.
Why so much violence
Though we all want peace, wars and violent battles have continued. But many of us are coming to realize that we can not achieve peace and harmony through violent disharmony.
Disharmony surfaces in our world because of disharmony of the human ego within each of us; its beliefs, programming, habits, and pride. The human ego, subconsciousness, is fighting for its survival so violently because more of us are awakening to the Truth.
We are awakening to both … of who we believe we are as people, separate individuals and villages identified by our beliefs, culture and programming … and … what we really are by our unity.
belief about who we are
We believe the who of our name, personality, job, clan, and its egotistic traits. We believe we are right and others are wrong, that we are sick and tired, mad, afraid, guilty, ugly, not good enough. We believe egotistic traits with righteousness, saying it with conviction.
Emotions and beliefs are contagious and spreads, attracting more of the same low frequency energies, emotions and beliefs. And ignorance doesn’t excuse us of the influences of contagion. Instead it opens the door to our personal subconscious, letting beliefs, thoughts and emotions to enter and grow unnoticed.
If we are unaware and unconscious we can be greatly influenced by negative and fearful energies in the world, in the news, media and social platforms.
yet remember …
Once we see and understand the influences of subconsciousness, then we must act to help ourselves release destructive attitudes. Otherwise, what’s the point of understanding?
And that is why so many of the entries that I publish are about recognizing, releasing and rising above the negative traits that we all experience. As we release destructive traits, subconsciousness fades, and we rise above it into higher levels of consciousness
Higher levels of consciousness like optimism and hope are also contagious. The energies of a simple, loving smile is contagious. So is laugher, joy, and willingness.
How can we be constructive?
When we are conscious of and express the FourSquare of our character, optimism, intelligence, truth and love, it is constructive manifestations. The greatest of these is Love and our True protection. We build to our happiness as we continually express the FourSquare of our Soul.
The ego imposes on us, urging us, compelling us to do things. Desire things. Love does not impose on us. Love doesn’t urge us. But we may be guided by our heart and intuition, to express consideration, caring, compassion, Love.
It’s consciously logical to project constructive FourSquare energies of Harmony: Optimism, Intelligence, Truth and Love. It’s our opportunity to act ….. for our own happiness and to help construct harmony in the world.
FourSquare Love in Action
We are free to express and experience whatever we choose. But when we willingly choose Love we consciously rise above subconscious egotism and rage fades.
Harmony affects everything, including the human ego. Indeed when we choose Love and Harmony we lift the world.

We get preoccupied with our human reality, dealing with it, and even getting lost in it. And, as discussed in the last posting, the subconscious ego has a great influence in our life. It can be treacherous, causing us challenges. And it can be so dominating that there is very little chance of us having real rational thought!
Yet, subconsciousness can serve us when we pull the strings that challenge us and clear a way for our happiness and destiny.
STRINGS AND SLIPPERY SLOPE OPERATIONS
We become conditioned to react in similar ways to similar situations because our thoughts follow established and well-traveled brain synapse paths from past experiences stored in the subconscious. Subconsciousness has accepted every thought, emotion and experience indiscriminately and let them grow unnoticed.
However, those energies eventually return to our conscious reality in warped states. We can circle in resurfacing egotistic traits like guilt, regret, and angry from the past and unreasonable anxiety and fear about the future. We don’t appreciate and enjoy the present.
When we are honest with ourselves and the condition of the ego, we raise our level of consciousness into courage, which helps us evolve, even more. One of the best ways to become more aware of egotistic traits with ourselves is to observe how we react to other people!
PULLING THE STRINGS
So when you become aware of feeling that something is wrong, kindly consider these steps to pull those strings that bother you as they crop up so you can let them go and build your happiness. This way the subconscious ego becomes your servant:
1. When you experience feelings of impatience, worry, anxiety, dread …. those are like strings resurfacing to consciousness from the subconscious ego. Pause. Take some deep breathes, and become the consciouswatcher of the thinker. Just notice your thinking and feelings without getting all involved and reacting to them.
2. Then go deeper to that level of consciousness where you are the unattached observer, just noticing the watcher and swirl of activities without harsh judgment.
3. Bring to the surface of your consciousness the opposite of what you may observe …… love instead of fear, courage in the face of scorn, gratitude when tempted by blame or regret, or understanding instead of hatred or desire.
This is a quick and easy method when challenged, yet conscious in the moment.
4. Go deeper still! Listen to the Silence within. And you will eventually begin to feel the Power of the Universe in that Silence, Universal Life Energy! Contact It consciously, feeling It move through your body and mind. It refines your consciousness even more to higher frequencies of calm, peace, compassion and gratitude.
5. Use your power of conscious discrimination …… pull the string of any disharmonious feelings or thoughts like anxiety, worry, guilt, shame or whatever it is, and reject it. Negate it. Throw it in a mental trashcan, and flood yourself with the Power of Universal Life Energy. That Power heals and harmonizes negative energies, clearing the way for more loving energies within you to surface.
6. Then leave it to the Great Principle, trusting and having faith it will be taken care of according to Universal Law.

“Whenever you feel the impulse to indulge some negative inner call, school yourself to bring out instead the exactly opposite and positive quality. In so doing, you lift the weight of wrong which seeks to drag that negative trait into expression, and by destroying its influence in your life you restore the proper balance within you.”
Eugene Fersen, The Fundamental Principles of Science of Being, page 156.
Thinking is an addictive distraction, especially when we have an intent to quiet the mind, to mediate and come into your Real Self. We tend to think about things we try to avoid or repress when we get quiet and listen to ourselves. Things like that chocolate we’re missing, the sexual pleasures we’re missing, and the many, many solutions to worries we’re missing.
It’s normal for us all. That’s important to remember when the guilt and the hurt of it all begins to further distract us. Yet, we can free yourselves with practice.
Just keep being conscious and aware of the temptation to be distracted. Just observe, be the watcher of the thinker without judgment. And amazingly, in that awareness of the temptation to be distracted, you have entered a meditation of observation. Whereas, if you we unaware of being distracted then one thought leads to another. And you can circle there.
Let compassionate Love lead you deeper into Relaxation and Silence. Pause and take some deep breathes, being conscious of breathing in Universal Life Energy. Let compassion for yourself, lead to compassion for others and for all Beings. And in this practice you can release, release and rise in consciousness above temptation into Love, Peace and Joy.

“We should try to eliminate the undesirable traits of our subconsciousness by becoming conscious through living FourSquare. It is a stupendous task for the whole of Humanity.”
Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 31.
“We are, so to speak, standing on a line of demarcation, on one side of us the Past, on the other side the Future, and in front of the Present. In the Past we have experience, in the Future all possibilities, but NOW is the time for us to act, to plant the good seed, to start positive causes, taking advantage of lessons of the Past so as to create the Future we desire.”
Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 219.
The whole of humanity is in the process of awakening, traveling our individual spiritual journeys. And this year we have an additional boost of energy to help us. Yet, opportunities can be missed if one is not willing to be open to possibilities, mentally and emotionally.
Kindly take this opportunity to be conscious and aware, especially of your thinking, because that is where, on the mental level, we start our awakening process.
And then we must act, dare and do, live life optimistically, knowledgeable, sincerely and most of all Lovingly for your own progress and the whole of humanity.
We all suffer, and for those of us on a conscious spiritual journey we may suffer emotionally more than anything. As we travel along gaining more and more experiences, there is the process of learning from our mistakes. And this can cause the greatest emotional suffering, yet it is part of the human growth process. The good news is that we can rise above it.
There are egotistic challenges …
Like guilt, self-righteousness, pride and frustration. Impatience is one that I repeat and I suffer emotionally from with guilt, resentment and even self hatred. Sometimes it seems to be an endless dark, painful tunnel of different negative traits! Yet there is Light of hope and inspiration to continue to fight for Freedom.
One thing egotistic challenges teach us is to be more conscious, alert and aware of temptations that surface. And that they should be faced, rather than pushed down again only to resurface stronger than ever. Better to face and release now than let them fester and grow.
And if we ignore feelings and dealing with trauma and traits that may have initially happened in childhood, we cause ourselves more trauma unknowingly. In childhood if we didn’t have help with trauma, we probably suppressed our emotions, which grew unnoticed. We were naive.
So when we become stressed in our daily life; feeling bothersome feelings like anxiety we may try to soothe or numb ourselves by looking for comfort in overindulgence in unhelpful matters, like over eating, porn, drugs.
Better to face negative emotions and past memories of trauma, rather than continuing to be naive, so we can come to the present moment fully. And feel the uncomfortable emotions and consciously choose to let them go ….. then embrace those emotions that are uplifting. It’s our choice, after all!
The fight for Freedom
Some may encourage us to be humble and forgiving to overcome negative traits, Yet, humility haves connotations and definitions of lowliness and unworthiness. Forgiveness has connotations and definitions of indulging in excuses for wrong doing, or ignoring negativity.
I’ve found that being accepting and compassionate are fitting and accurate. When we can accept our and others egotistic fallibilities as being human we can give up, that is release, the obsession with “being right!”
Self-honesty requires courage. And courage lifts us consciously; it helps us recognize negative patterns of resentment and condemnation without getting all involved and stuck, then feeling guilty about it.
We can be compassionate, see our human fallibility and be willing to do something about it, by releasing it, letting it pass us by. This is being lead by Unconditional Love.
We may initially feel the pain of an egotistic trait or traumatic memory. In fact the pain points to what needs awareness and healing. Sure, self defensiveness may creep up too!
Yet, those egotistic constricts are released when we let them pass us by. And we are able to rise above the pain into understanding, optimism and gratitude.
I become so grateful for becoming aware of different painful emotions …. temptations that where under the surface and have been around a long, long time stemming from childhood trauma.
We can face dark memories and emotions stemming from trauma and be protected. You have the help, and we all do, of The Great Law through Higher Consciousness, with Universal Life Energy as the constant inspiring Source of Power and Unconditional Love. Such Love is our True protection. We merely have to be compassionate and willing to make the Mental Contact with Universal Life Energy.
Rise above
It seems obvious that with more self-honesty and release of negative temptations we become less vulnerable to self condemnation and creating more trauma of fearful traits of feeling like a victim, self-hatred and escape-ism.
With acceptance, compassion and release we rise above the emotional pain. And with gracious and compassionate attitudes like alert awareness and optimistic gratitude, we can rise in consciousness.
We can align with our natural state of happiness, Joy, Love and Harmony. Yet, we must be brave!

“Superconsciousness, as the connecting link between the humanly conscious You and the complete real YOU, will be definitely assigned its place in your comprehension.”
Eugene Fersen, The Fundamental Principles of Science of Being, page 283.
We often gladly indulge in things that we least understand.
And that is very true because there are many, many things I can think of just off the top of my head. But the most apparent seems to be endless checking our phones! Then there’s checking the frig and pantry too ….. trying to please certain people ….. and here’s one of my favorites …. automatically answering a question directed at you.
We do things mindlessly, almost automatically. And some of them can bind us, keeping us in loops of habit, occupying our life. Yet, there is an avenue of freedom ….. if you’re willing.
The ego becomes the boss of us
We usually don’t understand why we are urged to check our phones ….. but we think we do. It’s to check the time, which we forget to do, we check messages ….. and the list goes on. Some of us are in dire straits of situations that demand our compliance. And we do it.
The ego becomes the boss of us with traits of fear, longing to be loved, trying to fit in, belonging, being good enough, desiring and being prideful.
So what’s the first step to freedom?
It seems obvious ….. to be aware. To be conscious and alert to the way the mind works in the situation.
Being willing to observe our thoughts and feelings without acting upon them. Being willing to live in the moment fully, observing and letting it wash over us in terms of awareness without judgment. There’s no room for judgment. Things are just the way they are.
And here’s the primary thing that is usually left out …..
The thing that we usually are unconscious of and un-alert to in our thinking and possible response to situations …… the complimentary or the polar to mental awareness ….. and that is Love.
Being in the moment alert and aware, being the non-involved observer can free us to a limited extent. We become free to be independent thinkers ….. independent of habits and fearful emotions. We become courageous in seeing the situation in the light of truth and develop an inner sense of hope to rise above any negativity within us ……. that demands to be obeyed and indulged in.
The human mind will focus on being alert and conscious, yet the essence of our consciousness, which we are to awaken to, is Love.
The human mind is unbalanced without being conscious of Love. The ego dominates us with traits of shame, guilt, grief, fear, desire, anger and pride. Yet when we are willing to go inward during observation and be centered in our Spiritual Heart and Love, then we are protected from the goings on of the ego.
We become conscious of our independent thinking and freedom to choose. And we can choose to stay in loops of compliance or choose the freedom of acceptance, reason, goodwill, and love. We can choose Peace.
Just because we may see the ego working within ourselves or others, doesn’t mean we have to react to it. It just means we have a responsibility to look within to the deepest part of us ….. to Love within and to choose Love for our own sanity and for others.
Mind and Love are the same qualities of the soul. It is the human mind that separates. It is the subconscious ego that indulges in things it least understands.
How do you identify yourself?
When we are young, we may identify with who we are …. with body and mind ….. our name, sex, age, what we do, our job, our tribe, etc…. As we grow, we may identify with what we think, our beliefs, and affiliations.
And as we mature and become conscious of mind’s naivety, from working on ourselves, then we become stronger, wiser, more sincere and more loving. We evolve into our authentic self ….. into what we are becoming …… becoming our true nature ….. strong, wise, sincere, loving ….. Becoming FourSquare …. to Being. Becoming One with the Great All and Being.
Our work starts on the mental level ……
Being willing to be alert and conscious of the subconscious in order to lease it. The ego is not the enemy, rather it serves us. We learn to be alert and conscious from all the challenges we face.
Though the ego will do its best to maintain its unconscious influence and sway over us, consciousness is the director and we can choose our experiences.
We can choose to pause and be conscious before grabbing our phone mindlessly. We can choose to be caring and pleasant rather than pleasing, We can choose to be conscious of questions directed to us and consider how to answer, perhaps with a question. We can choose to let Love lead us.
Let us remember that the essence of Mind and our right of choice…… is Love. You are a reflection of Love. Your essence is Love. A love that is impersonal, all inclusive, uniting.
In the hope You find Love close at hand, PortiaSLB
“But to love completely, to demonstrate Love in our lives, is more more than that. It means that WE SHOULD ALWAYS TRY TO FEEL LOVING TO OUR FELLOW MEN, TO EXPRESS OUR LOVE-NATURE EVERY INSTANT AS MUCH AS WE CAN.
‘GIVE TO THE STRANGER THE RICHNESS OF THY SMILE,’ is the gentle appeal of Love.”
All of us value self-reliance and freedom. Even children exercise their ability to make their own decisions and establish independence. And as adults we continue daily efforts for our freedom, strength and happiness.
Ultimately our efforts are to awaken to the reality of Eternal Existence as Spiritual Beings. Spiritual awareness can come to those of us that focus our energies in a clearcut, concentrated spiritual direction.
And there are some fundamental steps that builds the pyramid of our life to the peak of Spirit. All of these steps may start on the mental level, but they permeate all levels, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.
Bring your mental focus within yourself, taking some deep, slow breathes and becoming calm and present in the moment. Relax the body, gradually let any circling of monkey chatter thinking go quiet. That’s when we can allow ourselves to become conscious of profound peace within.
Second Step
The second step is to become aware of the witness within without judgments and labels. In this step we deliberately choose to step into a higher conscious frequency. It’s simple.
Pause, become silent and conscious of the witness within. And be compassionate. Courageously face the challenge of the ego with all its obstinate thoughts and emotions with a compassionate Heart and Deep Love. Be willing to accept yourself and the moment with Understanding and Inspirational Harmony.
Negate any thought or emotion that does not serve the better good, throwing it in a mental trashcan. Then purposefully choose higher levels of consciousness like optimism, understanding, trust and love.
the 3rd step
The third step is to become aware of something greater than ourselves, of an unknown mysterious presence. And we can do this very easily when we allow it.
We all experience the Great Causeless Cause Itself within us as life. That Power outside of ourselves is known as Universal Life Energy. And it is the very foundation and essence of All ….. Matter, Mind, Emotion and Spirit.
Because of pride, impatience and conceit we willfully broke our conscious connection with the Source of All Power in our efforts to becomes self-sufficient. Yet, now is our opportunity to restore our lost connection with simple methods of contact.
The most simple is the physical Star Exercise in which you open your body, turning your left palm upward to attract the Universal Power outside of yourself with your own Life Center acting as a magnet.
That contact may feel like a tinglingly of a warm or cool energy, but if you are not conscious of feeling It, then just relax. You are automatically attuning yourself with the Cosmic Currents because of the Law of Attraction. And eventually the Truth of the contact will help harmonize doubt or fear.
When you are conscious of contact with the Absolute through Universal Life Energy physically, then you are becoming conscious of being One with the Absolute on higher planes, mental and Spiritual.
Another simple practice is the Mental Contact
In this Mental Contact you physically relax your body and once you feel harmony within, you open the mental door to assert your union with Universal Life with audible Declarations of Truth:
“I am One with Universal Life Energy, that is flowing through me Now. I feel It.”
And feeling that Power physically is evidence that You are One with the Absolute on the Spiritual, Soul level too because what is True on one level is True on another.
It’s just a matter of what we allow ourselves to become conscious of!
In these practices you are beginning to become conscious of your unity with the Great Principle, God because you are feeling the Truth of the Absolute physically ….. that You are One with the Eternal spiritually.
We may physically feel It as Universal Life Energy and/or as a mysterious unknown presence.
In the hope You find Love close at hand, PortiaSLB
“You must remember that on the Mental Plane you are a law unto yourself. If you believe in a thing, that thing will become a reality to you. But if you doubt or fear, that doubt or fear also becomes a reality to you and prevents you from realizing the thing you want.”
