Flutters

Flutters

We are constantly fluttering,
Becoming dumbfound
We listen to voices with no sound
Dream resolution in delusion
Speak words of confusion
All the while, tasting bitter feelings of collusion.

We oscillate, palpitate and fluctuate
Totally ignore and subordinate the beauty of the butterfly
Misunderstanding the need to identify
With that character to comprehend
The butterfly is not pretend,
And does help us to ascend.

As dangerous flutters abound
We fear the butterfly cannot withstand the pain
Believing it is foreordain
That we are set apart
Opposites, an unsubstantial counterpart
Like a shadow with no heart.

In the Jungle

Jungle Trail2

In the Jungle

The shadows are dark – the air is damp and hot;
The forest thick with tall palm and kapok tree.
Where moss grows on most trunks
And spiral vines hang free.

Where the dabbled leaves in sunlight sing
A patient and wondrous rhythmic song;
With harvests of silence in-between
Ringing truth that in this moment I do belong.

Intrigued I enter a man-made trail
Walking gently on Mother earth awake and aware
So many wondrous sites, sounds and smells,
I smile, enjoy the beauty, and silently declare

I love this adventure!  Granting temporary freedom from ego indenture.
Then there! – broad, beak toucans fly and catch my eye!
They call two young fledglings who are drinking
From a hollow of tree branch nearby.

Spider monkeys jump and howler monkeys yell
Loud warnings of territorial realms
Sounds meant to frighten and repel
Their cry deepens then overwhelms

I look higher and spot a three-toed sloth that rests
In the highest treetop, peaceful, still
Living the moment in the leaves as nature requests
Ignoring the monkeys’ shrill.

I pause and listen again to the jungle’s song;
Grateful knowing that even after I leave this place
I’ll remember Mother Nature’s generous spirit, varied and strong
Offering wonderful adventures for all to embrace;

And no matter where I am
A patient and wondrous rhythmic song
With harvests of silence in-between
Rings truth that in this moment I do belong.

Silent Cry

silent cry 2

          Silent Cry

Silent cry, the most painful
Feeling separated from love, apart
Silent cry, the most painful,
Consuming misery in the heart
Silent cry, the most painful,
Emotional desolation does impart
Silent cry, the most painful
Alone inside
No tears, no sounds, no counterpart.

The worst emotional pain is when we feel separated from True Love.

It can feel like our heart is being torn out. That’s because we believe the irresponsibility of the subconscious ego, without consciously knowing we are part of Universal Love; that we are Loved and that we Love. That we are not alone in this world; that we are always connected with each other, Divine Love and the Great Principle.

That suffering can awaken us to Love rather than getting us stuck in depression. It can awaken us to gentleness, kindness and goodwill in others and ourselves. We can emotionally reconnect with the tenderness that is our loving heart.

The Invisible Realm

The Invisible Realm

Warm summer day, beauty abounds, elementals dance among the leaves,

More in nature than air, water, cattails and trees, much more to perceive,

Human reality beyond five senses awakens to invisible realm, does conceive,

Nature’s sweet music not for ears, heralds Spirits of Light that interweave

With loving hearts, understanding minds, open arms willing and ready to receive.

There is more in this earthly dimension than the physical eye can perceive. We can feel the wind and the warm rays of the sun, and it is also true of other energies that dance among us, especially in nature. We can feel them when we become quiet inside, with no thoughts interrupting our silence.

There are many, many dimensions and we can get a glimpse of them primarily though our emotional awareness. And, when you are consciously calm and loving then those energies of high frequency will be experienced – Divine Love being the most enlightening!

You help all of Us

helps the rest of us

“Mankind creates its own worst enemies through the perversion of Love to its opposite extremes of Hatred, Jealousy, Selfishness and the like. Only through Love Itself can these destructive forces be eliminated.”

Life’s Quest

Life’s Quest

Vast sky, white clouds, blue seas, horizon there to meet,

Adventures, discoveries, possibilities, though not concrete,

Fear of falling, self-righteous beliefs and doubt do retreat,

Brave heart, inspiration, life’s quest for the soul does entreat.

What Kind of Love?

cafe 4

sitting in the café, listening to the music
drinking sweet chai tea and waiting for You
I think of the lyrics and what they mean
“I will always love You.”

the voice rises so high and so beautiful
feeling so sad and blue

I will always love you
I You
I Will always Love
I Will always
I Will
I

what kind of Love is this?

Life of a Tear

Pink flower with dew refined 2

                       Life of a Tear

Tear swells, disguised as hurt, stain of salt, burning

Burden of fear, too heavy to hold, resentment terrible path of learning

Source deep inside, drowns the heart, surfaces to windows of discerning

Release of fear in the form of a tear dries the source, Love returning.
