Fear of Terrorists, Part 2

The raging storm of terror that is generated by hatred, fear and self-righteousness is also unconsciously fed by associated fear-based traits like worry, prejudice, impatience, pride and ignorance. An impersonal analysis of the situation can help us calm the turbulent tempest in our thinking, free us to be in the moment, and with the help of the Eternal begin to enact inner peace.

Unconscious of fear

Terrorists also use religious and self-righteous claims as a means to unconsciously cover up their own fear and to abet hatred. Their egos feel threatened and powerless, so in trying to empower their egos they fall further into hatred with a responsive belief that they are doing the right thing. With so much negative energy circling they become a slave to it.

Plus, wanting their cause to grow, they use that negative energy to attract others. And it works. More people are joining terrorist organizations out of fear. Fear attracts more negative energy and fear.

The fear boomerang

It does not stop there because that fearful energy boomerangs back to the originators, burgeoning, attracting what they fear (retaliatory attacks and subjugation). It terrorizes them to the point of desperation and thus they attack again.

We don’t know what terrorists as individuals have been through to get this way, yet terrorism is an attention-getter that is really a cry for love. It is the ego that doesn’t know how to cope with the stress of change and is afraid.

Analogy

Acts of mindless killing or beheading by the terrorists are going beyond a spit in the face with disrespect. It is a very personal message to instill fear and to demonstrate their resolve to wreak havoc in their struggle for what they perceive as justice, trying to empower themselves. In their self-centeredness, fear and guilt they lose their empathy for others.

Cutting off the most ready means of identification is an allegory for losing one’s self. It is symbolic of the perpetrators losing their own head and sanity, cutting off all reasoning and consciousness; the fall of mind.

Black is symbolic of the unknown and the shrouded assassin in black is symbolic of the unknown fear of the terrorists.

Rise above doubt

Fear of terrorists cycles, boomerangs round and round, growing world-wide, attacking anyone that unconsciously feeds it with worry, prejudice, antagonism or other fear-based traits. All this because of doubt.

As discussed in the last post, we experience fear because we doubt our connection to and the support of the Eternal. Let us be brave and remember that we have the support of the Eternal, and enact unconditional Love instead of fear within ourselves. This can help us all to face the situation with courage, while not tolerating hatred, prejudice and egotistic self-righteousness.

In the final post of this series we will dig deeper for understanding, discuss the importance of faith and with the help of the Great Law, step closer to inner peace. Until then consider this quote to reflect upon:

“We should not say we are alone. We are not. We should rise above it and say, ‘I have within me the Sword of Truth, my helmet is the Inspiration from above.”

Fear of Terrorists, Part 1

Some may say that terrorism is so prevalent today because of conflicts between people, their rights, their freedom, and their land which started long ago. It’s said that the conflict between religious beliefs and the struggle for dominance are causing extremism, and it is but it also goes deeper than that.

Terrorists and fear of terrorism exist because we believe we have lost something vital.

WHAT DID WE LOSE?
We feel disconnected and separate from each other, and more importantly separate from God, Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah, Brahma, or a thousand other names humanity uses for the Great Causeless Cause. Though we may not be conscious of it – we believe that we have lost the support of the Eternal.

That is the fall of mind; our thinking that doubts its natural state of Peace, Purpose and Eternal Love. The mind that created subconscious fear, hatred and beliefs that are founded on doubt and assumptions. We have mentally fallen asleep to our True Self, our connection to and faith in the Eternal.

WHAT DOES LOVE HAVE TO DO WITH IT?
Our mental fall is why religious beliefs came into existence and through beliefs, extremism.

Fearful ego traits and terrorism were created by us, humanity, because we feel we are not part of and one with Universal Mind and Universal Love. We separate, divide, and feel finite rather than infinite.

We fight each other because we are inwardly fighting for our own freedom from fear, ignorance, pride and impatience. We seek Love, but do not know how to reach it through the pain and conflict we created in trying to empower ourselves.

BELIEFS ARE A PROBLEM
Terrorists live in a subconscious mental hell because they are blinded by unreasonable beliefs, dominated by accumulated evil and enslaved by fear.

They use religion as a means to incite hatred and to cover-up their own fear! It is a mental unbalance, an insanity. They are trying to empower their self as they unconsciously seek love while they forget love.

Being stunned into unconsciousness by fear and a buildup of hatred, there is little room in the ego for conscious reasoning and logic, much less awareness for their True Mind, which is naturally loving.

Through beliefs their suffering is associated with the ideas of the self-righteousness. And, when one lives in the past or dwells on the desires of the future there is no mental recognition of the present and it can not be appreciated.

WHAT CAN WE DO?
We should not tolerate terrorism, rather we should rise above it. Live in the moment appreciating life.

Though we may experience fear at times, we also have within us the spark of Universal Love. Let us be mindful of It, act and radiate love the best we can to help all of us rather than feed fear.

The feeling of love changes things for us – you know what it feels like and how it changes your outlook when you experience any form of human love.

You can start first by being grateful for any love in your life, then be caring, considerate, loving, and spread goodwill to those around you. It will help free yourself of fear and others also!

Consider Radiating Loving Energy to the world with this practice.

What Not to Do, Part 3

We’re Conditioned!

Sure, we were taught not to be impatient or loose our temper, but we do it anyway and get caught in these very habitual behaviors. We can’t seem to help our self.

ID-100238139

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, taoty

Continuing from the previous two post’s list of what not to do:

We’re Conditioned to Believe

6 – We’ve conditioned our self to believe negative egotistic behaviors like fear, worry, resentment and greed are part of standard human behavior and are acceptable rather than consciously releasing them and regaining our freedom!

In fact, we can live in ‘what not to do’ for so long that we think it is ‘what to do’!

7 – We are conditioned to obey an ‘authority’ without first using our own discrimination process and listening to our Superconscious.

8 – We think it’s okay to tell little white lies to save our self from embarrassment or someone else’s involvement.

9 – We want to be liked, admired, and known as a nice person, and therefore, we mold our self to that image, trying to please others.

Spirit of Love

That gentle voice of intuition telling us that something is wrong, a what not to do moment, is our consciousness tapping into Superconsciousness which is part of our Soul and Universal Mind guiding us.

If we ignore the guidance of our Higher Self we still have backup means to help us know the right thing to do. We can reason with purposeful discrimination we learned through experience, conditioning and education, but we still have a choice to take it or leave it. It’s like the aphorism: You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Means of the Mind

Eventually, we must come to know for ourselves the way to harmony and happiness since we are responsible for ourselves. In a deeper understanding and wider view it is still following the guidance of our Higher Self because we are harmonizing our thinking and behavior. We come to release our grip on the ego and embrace our soul and true Being.

Ways of the World

We make our life the way it is. We must take responsibility for it and be courageous in the present moment and moments to come to help transform our self into a better condition.

We already know the right thing to do because we are part of Cosmic Mind, but we have temporarily forgotten that since we are experiencing a separatist, self-centered, egotistic mind. You loosen the grip of the subconscious ego every time you live in the present moment and enjoy now.

When we consciously work at it we eventually recognize what not to do and realize what to do.  Things like being conscious and accurate, making the best use of our time because it doesn’t come again, and being respectful and loving others unconditionally because they are just like us – beautiful Souls.

In Light and With Love, Portia SLB

Consider this quote to reflect upon:

“Subconsciousness is the shell which prevents the Living Spirit within from manifesting as powerfully as it should. When enough Rays of Truth pierce the subconsciousness, then subconsciousness will collapse like a balloon, and there will be no more subconsciousness.”

Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 98.

What Not to Do, Part 2

It Seems Justified!

As children we were expressly taught by our guardians what not to do for our own good. However, as adults most of us have fallen into some very detrimental behaviors that we learned unconsciously through observation and conditioning. Having unconsciously fallen into these patterns, we have to work at breaking their control over us by first becoming conscious of them.

First, be conscious!
First, be conscious!
(FreeDigitalPhotos.net, David Castillo Dominici)

We’ve Seen Others Do It….
And now we do it too!

1 – Like in the last post – we see people try to change someone else – that is definitely a what not to do because it can’t be done anyway.

Each of us are a powerhouse underneath this part of us we call personality, mind and body. We have to agree to change within our self first. The better route for everyone is to work on our own improvement and assist others that seek it.

2, 3, 4 – We definitely should not spend our time and effort thinking about what is beyond our immediate control, such as wasting time with regret over past mistakes or missed opportunities, or even worrying about the unknown future.

Let it go, otherwise you can get stuck in regret, guilt, and worry until it gets so bad it can make you mentally and physically sick. Instead, practice gratitude in the present and enjoy it as much as you can.

5+ – We repeatedly engage in negative things such as expressing impatience, being in a hurry, procrastinating and lazing around. Some more harmful ones are: lying, falling in a depression, losing our temper, negatively criticizing our self and others, and, fear of making a mistake.

These are all very habitual and self-centered, subconscious behaviors. When you are in it at the time they seem justified because of egotistic self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is one of the worst what not to do’s we experience!

image

Definitely What To Do!

We experience pain because the harmful energy of mindlessness we generate comes back and hits us like a ton of bricks. That is the power of Universal Mind and Love physically manifesting, but perverted by fearful thinking and powered by fearful emotions.

It takes courage to face the truth of egotistic behavior, yet you have all the power you need to rise above it. Consider being mindful, consciously aware of your thinking and motivation in order to release those harmful traits and emotions.

With a feeling of love rather than fear motivating you, you can live harmoniously in the Law of Cause and Effect with wondrous consequences!

In Light and With Love, Portia SLB

We will conclude this series with more What Not to Do in our next post, including ways to whole heartedly embrace what to do! Until next time consider this quote to reflect upon:

“To be Spiritual means to do the right thing, without thinking of being Spiritual. As our understanding grows, our sense of right grows also.”

Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 1.

Simple Methods to Be Happier, Part 2

Any negativity we experience, like emotional outbursts or physical problems, is of our own creation. We created that negativity with the power of Universal Love and Mind, but perverted it – turned it upside down in our thinking and feelings (emotions) – thus we perceive it as negativity. When we let this perversion dominate our thinking, feelings and actions, it gets in the way of our happiness. Therefore we have to work at being happy.

Here are 3 more simple ways to be happier:

 moss moment

Image: FreeDigitalPhotos.net, Sweet Crisis

1. Live in the present moment

When we live in the present moment we are raising our consciousness to a higher mental level because we are releasing our grip on constant human thinking, or what some call monkey chatter. What most of us consider normal thinking is predominately lingering in the subconscious where we habitually think about the future or past, and it cycles round and round.

Have you ever gotten a song stuck in your head? Or incessantly think about an incident in the past and do instant replays trying to figure it out? Or a problem you’re trying to work out? Or make plans for the future in the next few minutes, in a day or longer, then go over (and over) them? That’s the habitual monkey chatter that keeps you so busy there’s no room for appreciation of the moment and your happiness.

You may ask, just how do I live in the present moment?

Participate in the present and give it your full attention; mentally pause and watch the material world you are in at the moment. Focuse your attention on your body and the surrounding area. Become aware of your breathing and sensation perceptions of sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. You are intently observing, being silent inside.

You can practice this in your normal daily routines like when you stir your coffee, or even this very moment. Expand your awareness. You will come to notice there is no monkey chatter! And, little by little, you will come to know that you are part of something greater than yourself as you get a glimpse of The Unlimited!

Also watch the thinker within yourself.

Observe yourself thinking from a calmer and more understanding place, a higher mental consciousness. It’s like you are outside of yourself and watching your thinking process. It is especially helpful because you will come to watch your discrimination process before you manifest a thought by speaking or acting. And, more importantly, you become conscious of your motivation.

As previously discussed in the last post, when we choose to be motivated by love rather than fear, we are happier. And with the help of the Great Principle, we come closer to Universal Mind and know it is only motivated by Universal Love!

2. Listen to your Higher Self.

We are in contact with our superconscious, or Higher Self, through intuition and inspiration. It is our inner guiding spirit and connection to Cosmic Mind which is one with Divine Love! Therefore, listen to that calm, peaceful voice of intuition especially when we are aware and in the moment, because it will guide us to do the right thing. The more we listen, do the right thing and are grateful, the more intuition we receive!

If we do the wrong thing then our conscience hurts. Yet, we can consciously exercise our power of what Lightbearers call FourSquare discrimination – which is balanced in enthusiasm, wisdom, truth and love.

When we do the right thing, the balanced, harmonious choice, we are creating conditions for our own happiness.

 3. Be compassionate.

Compassion is not only being empathetic for others and conditions, it also encompasses doing something to help improve the situation with a purpose motivated by Love. It is that feeling of compassion that brings our soul to the surface of our consciousness, because love takes us out of the self-centeredness we all experience.

When we do something to help others and they become happier, it also makes us and others happier. It spreads. Therefore, consider giving of yourself, your time and effort, to help others and make the world a better place by volunteering or doing something kind for someone else.

Help a friend, be a friend, tutor a child, make deliveries for Meals on Wheels, make donations to those in need, there are as many ways as you can think of.

Being conscious of being in the moment helps us relate to Universal Love in our heart and that Love motivates us to be kind and considerate – happiness all around!

Next week will be the final part of this series and we will list 3 more ways to boost your happiness, with the help of the Great Law. Until then, consider enacting some methods for a happier life and reflecting on this quote:

“We are so centered in our selves that we forget to be normal. We bury our own happiness. We should work out within ourselves, the qualities which will take us out of our present limitations. The moment the qualities are developed, in that moment the person will be lifted into something better.”

Eugene Fersen,  Advanced Teachings in Science of Being Volume II,  p. 132.

Simple Methods to Be Happier, Part 1

No one is happy all the time. We chase happiness because, while we may have it for a time, it is fleeting. We set an ideal, reach it and when our happiness fades we set a new ideal. Or, we may have been in a state of contentment and then something happened at work or home and we become unsettled due to negative circumstances or ego traits, which can trigger a tailspin.

However, the majority of our happiness is determined by our choices – that is, our choices of thoughts and behaviors.

There are some simple ways you can develop more awareness of your innate inner happiness.

Love-web-1

 1. Choose Love

We may say all we want is to be happy, yet what we truly want is Love. We want to be conscious of being loving and being loved; of knowing Love.

It’s the feeling of Love that changes things for us. When you choose to think, feel and express love in all that you do, like being consciously friendly, caring and considerate, the more you become conscious of Universal Love and your innate happiness.

The feeling of genuine love is the soul manifesting Universal Love as substance. However, when you choose to pervert love and generate fear-based emotions, it is still substance, but physically manifests in your life negatively as illness and problems. The subconscious perverts and reverses the power of Love, therefore you see and experience everything upside down. You feel separate and apart from everyone and everything, especially the Great Principle and Universal Love.

As you come to feel and express love more in your relationships and life you become more aware of Universal Love, and this will lead to the conclusion there is only one choice and that is for Love and happiness.

Love-web-2

2. Cultivate gratitude

Start your day out optimistically by consciously stating 3 different things every morning that you are grateful for. Try this for 21 days at least! That’s the amount of days it takes for most of us to establish new brain patterns or habits with repeated daily practice.

You are creating substance, chemistry in the brain, to construct these new patterns with the power of Universal Love and Universal Mind. Therefore, if you consciously practice it every day for 21 days you will have created an optimistic attitude, or at least the start of one!

Gratitude (and optimism) has a vibration of love that attracts more reasons to be grateful and happy because it activates the Law of Attraction! It can also help you be more conscious of your Inner Love and more receptive to Universal Love. When you realize that you are part of Universal Love and emotionally feel it then you are physically, mentally and emotionally creating change in yourself and also helping others.

3. Practice Relaxation and Silence

If you spend 5 to 10 minutes daily releasing the tenseness of the body and the constant monkey chatter in your thinking you can change the frequency of your brain energy.

The busy, busy vibrations of the human world can cause the brain to overload and your thinking can get habitually lost in circumstances or egotistic energies of negativity and fear. Those few minutes of Relaxation and Silence are a relief and you begin to feel free and peaceful. You are freeing yourself from the ego and it’s traits based in fear.

That feeling of freedom and peace are qualities of Love, and they can open you to new vistas in your attitude and behaviors that materialize in your life as happiness and love. Very simple to do and very effective!

We will continue with more ways to help you be happier next time, with the help of the Great All.

Until then consider enacting some of these ideas for more happiness and reflecting upon the following quote:

“Love has a dissolving power on everything negative and a power to bring together, hold together and cement together everything positive.”

Releasing False Beliefs about Yourself, Part 4

grasp the significance 3

FreeDigitalPhoto.net, foto76

If you feel aggravated while interacting with someone then a low-frequency ego trait was most likely activated. Yet, that uneasiness can be your great asset!

Your emotions can lead you to realize the Wisdom and authentic Power of your Soul. When you become conscious of being tempted by a negative emotion or behavior it inferably is your Superconsciousness gently letting you know something is not in harmony with your soul!

First things first!
When I feel some uneasiness during an interaction with someone, I use the FourSquare, as discussed in Part 3, to help me pinpoint the reason and name the trait or thought that was not in harmony with the qualities of my soul.

Once I consciously realize that I was tempted to engage in a harmful trait that is based in fear, I then will myself to relax mentally. This is important so I can focus on going further in my attitude adjustment! I then mentally step away from that adverse criticism and let it go. I let it pass me by. I turn it away; I throw it away; I blow it away! It is such a liberating and empowering feeling!

The next step is life changing – I mentally look up within to connect with a Higher Power – Universal Life Energy to help further harmonize and inspire me. I realize and make a declaration of Truth to align with love instead of fear with a statement like:

Header_with_Exercises_new“I am One with Universal Love and Universal Life Energy. I am conscious of being loving and being loved Now. I feel IT.”

This brings my awareness and gratitude into the moment before speaking or acting. I manifest that attitude adjustment in some physical manner. It may be something very simple, like a smile to a stranger or sincere listening and to what the other person is saying. It will be a choice that is motivated by love rather than fear.

You’ll know a change has taken place within yourself and so will the other person if they acknowledge it or not.

Temptations of the Ego
We experience detrimental emotions and traits because of choices we made in the past and choices we make now. Through the law of karma, the Law of Cause and Effect, we unconsciously create harmful conditions that become habitual by frequently engaging in thoughts of worry, impatience, anger, procrastination, or carelessness!

The subconscious ego aims to dominate us with these temptations, and thus we come to believe the illusionary personality traits we engage in and claim them as our own. You may come to think that is who you are, including that you are a terrible person at times, not good enough, not lovable or loving. You are not your thoughts!

Your Soul Mind Connection
You may be tempted by fear-based emotions, yet that feeling of something not being right is your Higher Self awakening you consciously to the illusion of the insecure ego. Your Higher Self or Superconscious is your connection to Universal Mind. You are tapping into Divine Mind when you listen to your intuition. Be grateful!

You have the Eternal supporting You and helping You unconditionally! Take the opportunity to release subconscious traits in the moment and choose to align with Love instead. In this way you will  bring out the qualities of your Soul in your life and empower yourself to attract more conditions for your happiness, and indeed the world!

You will come to know that You are a beautiful Soul and so very good at heart.

Consider this quote to reflect upon:

“Without our knowing it, Superconsiousness plays a more important role in our lives than subconsciousness because it is always watching us and reminding us when we make a mistake.”

Releasing False Beliefs about Yourself, Part 3

  FreeDigitalPhotos.net, foto76

Once you are aware of being tempted to react to someone with prejudice, the next step is to name that harmful trait because you are in the process of recognizing it in order to release it, and choose Love instead.

I start my self-analysis with questions like: Am I being motivated by fear or Love?

If I am not so sure of the answer, then I refine my questions to help me discover if I am in sync with the four major characteristics of my soul. If one of those four qualities – energy, intelligence, truth and love, are not fully present then I know that I am not balanced and am motivated by fear, ignorance, or impatience.

The four major characteristics of our soul are the same qualities of the Eternal, what a Lightbearer calls the FourSquare:

FourSquare_Pyramid

LIFE:

  • Is this emotion I’m feeling enthusiastic, energetic, and high-frequency (calm and peaceful)?
  • Am I doing the right thing at the right time with a harmonious purpose?

INTELLIGENCE:

  • Is my reasoning in this emotion logical, rational, wise and based in fact, or is it based on an assumption?
  • Am I conscious, reasoning and open to the inspiration of my superconscious, or am I listening to urges and desires of the subconscious? (Do I feel  calm, rational and considerate or rushed, anxious, and worried?)

TRUTH:

  • Am I in harmony with the Universal Laws? Is my reasoning truthful, honest and sincere?
  • Am I feeling hurt by the truth?
  • Am I aligning with my inner strength and wisdom, or submitting to wrong?

LOVE:

  • Am I approaching the issue impersonally or is it all about self-righteousness?
  • Am I taking responsibility for my actions and feelings or am I placing blame on someone else?
  • Am I mentally stepping away from anger, resentment and negative thoughts and choosing to align with unconditional love for myself and the other person(s)?

If one quality or corner of the FourSquare is missing or corrupted then I know my reaction is out of balance and can cause me further temptations and problems! Thus, I do something about it – I change my mind!

With Light and Love, Portia SLB

Next time we’ll work on changing our mind and choose to align with love, with the help of the Eternal.

Until then consider this quote to reflect upon:

“If we would follow more our Higher Self, we would by and by not only make no mistakes, but we would unfold our FourSquare. The FourSquare comes from our Higher Self.  We have always had it, but we must realize it.”

Eugene Fersen, Advanced Teachings in Science of Being, p. 26

Releasing False Beliefs about Yourself, Part 2

It May not be Pretty

A spiritual journey is not for the faint of heart because it can mean a great deal of work to know both the personal, human traits and the individual, spiritual aspects of yourself. Knowledge of the human, personal part is not always pretty, yet it is essential in order to release any part of it that may be holding you back from the success and happiness that is your natural right as a soul.

Your Higher Self does not impose itself on You. You must be silent and listen for your Inner Voice of intuition with an awareness of Unity.

Self-analysis can reveal both what we consider good and bad. One of the easiest ways to exercise self-analysis is to be conscious of the way you respond or react to people you have a relationship with or those you have just met, even in passing.

Those responses that are harmonious are the ones to embrace as they carry you further on your spiritual journey, while those that are not quite there yet could use an attitude adjustment, because those are the ones that can drag you down and cause you pain!

Pain is the teacher, while your intuition is your liberator – when you listen to it!

Notice your thoughts and feelings when you interact with someone; that is, be conscious and aware of living in the moment.

You may feel justified for a resentful, jealous, guilty or impatient attitude towards someone because your egotistic beliefs are pulling you down. Yet, it is your Higher Self, your superconscious, that inspires you to consciously recognize false beliefs in order to release them.

Once you understand that you were tempted by self-righteousness beliefs, consider refining your conscious self-analysis using the qualities of the FourSquare to pinpoint the problem. The qualities of Energy, Intelligence, Truth and Love are standard to press into judgment as you listen to the inner knowing and intuition of your Higher Self.

I start with questions like:

  • Am I feeling compatible and drawn to this person, or am I feeling uneasy and put off? Though that’s usually an easy question to answer, I’m also keenly aware that those questions do not get even near to useful self-analysis. I go further.
  • Am I feeling critical, spotting shortcomings or feeling congenial? Why? Then further.
  • Am I conscious of being motivated by fear or love? That’s the big question!

When I am sincere and silent in my spiritual purpose and discover that I am being motivated by fear then I continue in the examination.

With Light and Love, Portia SLB
