Listening as instrument for egolessness: Listening, Part 4

tropical beauty refined

We’ve grown to the point of consciousness enough to know that so much of the time we are dominated by the ego – by the negative traits of the ego that causes us to suffer. Now we have this deep desire to grow and consciously create our happiness with good causes. Yet, we feel we still need help to understand why we continue to experience troubles and fall once again into negative emotions.

Why listen to wisdom teachings

Reading wisdom books, listening to the teachers, listening to a master has the purpose to remind us of what we already know. We’ve just forgotten. We are reminded to listen and be more conscious of our Higher Self and our own inner guidance.

We have become so out of touch that we feel that we must seek spiritual ‘authorities’ to help us. The truth is we don’t need wisdom teachings to connect with our True Self because it is something we already are. No authority or clergy is needed in-between you and your Higher Self. Unfortunately, we are conditioned to believe that is true.

The teachings, teachers, or clergy are not to be believed, blindly followed or even assumed as true. In fact beliefs can instead energize the ego to keep us enslaved and frozen in a fixed idea. Rather we are to work to experience Truth for ourselves; to know the Truth.

I am grateful for wisdom teachings and teachers because they can and do lead the way, yet we are the only one that can remember and reconnect with our Inner Self. And, the more we do so repeatedly the more we become conscious of I am.

We may not understand the teachings the first time we’ve heard or read it. Yet, there may be a time in listening that it awakens us to our Higher Self and we do understand. I’ve had some of my wisdom books, Science of Being, for over 35 years and I always am inspired when I read passages from it again. That is why there is power in reading and listening!

We get caught up and lost in our human life. Truth is Law, ubiquitous and eternal. And, Truth in spiritual teachings will strike a chord, which may feel like a deep desire to return home. Or it may be like a bell going off in our head or heart, and it rings true to us. Listen. It is your Higher Self and soul. Ringing Truth to awaken us. This has happened to me and it may have to You also.

Truth opens us to unconditional Love. And, as we do we are also able to release negative thoughts and emotions. And, we begin to create a positive reality with positive energy.

Wisdom Tools

Wisdom teachings remind us to be conscious, mindful, respectful, grateful and loving.

Listening to our Higher Self and wisdom teachings, reflection, mindfulness, Silence and meditation. These are your, our, Wisdom Tools! Then we must Act harmoniously within Universal Laws. And, be lead by unconditional Love. We are letting the ego die. Creating a egoless life. A spiritually driven life.

“The Great Law is never absent and never idle on this Earth or elsewhere. It is continually seeking new channels for Its expression, new mouths to carry Its Message to suffering Humankind. It speaks through the lips of Leaders of men, through scientific discoveries, through better laws, artistic achievement, the living word and the printed page.”

Your spiritually driven life

animated-lotus

The human road can be winding and pitted with so many challenges, temptations, glitz and glamour that it can distract you from living a spiritually driven life. The ego wants to keep everything status quo because of conditioning. Yet, the spiritual warrior within is lead by our heart with the wisdom to create conditions for not only our own happiness, but for others and indeed for the world.

The message of Divine Love

We have had spiritual teachers through the ages as examples of a spiritual warrior,  and according to the teachings Jesus was a representative of Divine Love. Though he faced many human temptations he chose the Divine Road, showing us how we are meant to live a spiritually driven life; to be a spiritual warrior. As an insurrectionist his teachings challenged the social and religious order. And, people of influence at that time feared his deviant and very empowering teachings that the kingdom of God is near at hand for all rather than only for a few

The message of Divine Mind

The message of today is that of Divine Mind, the wisdom of the heart, the wisdom of Love: the kingdom of Harmony is within everyone’s own heart and mind.

When we are consciously motivated by Love, from our heart, we are a spiritual warrior. Mentally we are conscious of both personal love and unconditional love.

We can feel in our heart what is both wise and loving. The ego and blind beliefs of the subconscious that wants to keep us enslaved to memories, superstitions and conditioning are released as we awaken to the illusion of their influence.

Facing Temptations

As a spiritual warrior we will and do face 3 similar temptations like all Great Spiritual Teachers. They are as in these questions, asking us if we are willing to let the ‘me,’ the ego die in order to create our happiness and spiritual fulfillment:

  1. Do we hunger for fulfillment, but live by human bread alone?
  2. Do we doubt the All encompassing Eternal and our innate Divine nature?
  3. Do we get lost in the human world of challenges, glamour and desire for influence and power?

Apathy delays us. Doubt cripples our progress. And greed, pride, jealousy, fear and other subconscious, egotistic traits perverts us.

Being a Spiritual warrior

You live a spiritually driven life and are a spiritual warrior, when you consciously manifest both personal and unconditional Love. When you are conscious of the wisdom of your heart. When you listen to your Higher Self and intuition. When you consciously face temptations of anger, revenge, worry or fear with courage and Love.

As a spiritual warrior – remember You are a powerful Being that has created this moment for yourself to remember your own inner authentic powers as a Universal Soul.

You are Strong, Wise, Sincere and Loving. And, You have the Creator, Divine Mind and Divine Love supporting You.

Mindful in Nature: Power of Listening, Part 3

The Trees Sing

The leaves stir, moved by a gentle breeze,

Listen! There’s a voice of silence in-between,

The trees sing, as the breeze weaves the stories.

We are inspired by beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We look up into the night sky at the moon, stars and Milk Way and are amazed at the beauty and wonder of it. We are getting a glimpse of the Infinite and it inspires us.

Communing with Nature

By being in nature, mindful and consciously aware we are communing with All that is, the Great All. We commune through vibration, Universal Life Energy, chi. Every cell, every fiber, every mental and emotional frequency of our being resonances with Universal Life Energy in nature and it harmonizes us. In nature we naturally synchronize with the earth energies, reestablishing balance between our auric field and earth energies. Our emotional and mental vibrations rises. We are feeding our soul. Healing ourselves.

And as we  resonant, we can gain access to the wisdom in nature.  Nature has a silent voice. And, we can hear it when we are quiet inside, mindful, open and receptive. How much we can hear is a matter of our state of consciousness.

Being quiet and mindful, we can get inspirations through our Higher Self. It may be a mental voice, colors, music, visions, or understanding.

We are interconnected with all natural life in its many varied forms. We can feel the energy and the way it effects us. For example, different crystals have different vibrations and frequencies.

Hold different crystals in your hand or to your ‘third eye’ and feel the different frequencies, the way it makes you feel or how it opens a door to your awareness.

Meditate under a tree and you may gain access to the tree consciousness.

The stream babbles, has many experiences, and you can get an impression of them.

The spirit of the mountain speaks and has great wisdom that relates to us. Listen.

A natural life

We can learn much from nature. The mountains, seas, plants and animals are not burdened by beliefs, religions and superstitions that condition us and separate us. They live a more natural life and in harmony with earth. They benefit from the strength, wisdom and growth of each other. And, only until very near the end of their earthly cycle do they begin to decline in strength and beauty.

 Connecting with Nature

Nature is the very air we breathe. The warmth of sunshine on our face. The beating of our heart.

Everyday one of the first things I do in the morning, weather permitting, is to go outside and raise my hands, my head and mind to lookup within to the Universe and open myself to the Great Father and Mother Nature. I consciously contact Universal Life Energy and open myself to receive It, mindful and return it according to Universal Law.

We commune. I am grateful. Love is close at hand.

Do You listen to yourself? Why listen to mental chatter, inspirations and reasoning: Listening – Part 2

gentle voice of intuition

We generally don’t listen to ourselves! Listening to ourselves is a big step towards owning and honoring our power to create our own reality – a happy one!

Our reality starts in our thinking. We currently function on three base levels of mind: the self-conscious; the sub-conscious ego; and the Superconscious, Higher Self. And, it pays to listen to all three levels.

How do we know the difference?

Subconscious
We like to think we are conscious during our waking hours. And, we are… sometimes. But because we are human and busy…., we can get lazy, confused and jump in the energy of the subconscious ego; into conditioning, desire, and impulse. It has no reasoning power, and is very fertile ground, so when a thought or suggestion enters it can grow unnoticed!

We live in the past, rethinking it over and over – what happened and how we may have done it differently. We experience guilt, depression, loneliness. We live in the future, constantly worrying about what we are going to do next, and experience impatience, anxiety, fear.

We are so used to the mental voice of the subconscious ego that it sounds normal to us. But, there are hints; our emotions can lead us back to the reason and the level of mind they originated. The ego is impatient and demanding. So if we feel jittery, hurried, pushed, impulsive, or confused then our thoughts are coming from the ego. The ego is also self-centered. So if we feel tired, jealous, guilty, lonely, left out, in any way take things personal then our thoughts are coming from the ego.

Conscious  –  Our conscious self is the controller of our life!
The conscious self is the listener, the observer, the discriminator. It can listen to reason, to the ego and to the Higher Self and discriminate between them. Plus, it is the gate-keeper to the subconscious and can control what goes into the subconscious to grow. So your consciousness is your great asset!

When we are conscious, we are observant, aware, rational. We don’t assume and are willing to learn; curious. We question things and our self, analyze and can discipline to not take things personal which can blur our judgment! The inner voice is self-conscious of our being; aware of our will-power and individual power to discriminate and choose. So if we feel sincere, honest, true, have a sense of wonder or a sense of humor then our thoughts are coming from the self-conscious. We are conscious of love, the feeling of inclusive, unconditional love, of caring, consideration and goodwill.

Superconscious
Your Higher Self speaks to you through intuition, inspiration and even instinct. Our Higher Self does not urge us to do anything. Nor does it impose – we have to be quiet within to consciously listen to that still voice. If not we can miss it! When we feel calm and collected, peaceful then the inner voice comes from our Superconscious.

Our Higher Self can help us. And, it pays to listen because it is connected to Universal Mind, the all-knowing Cosmic Mind. The guidance is always wise and true, leading to positive effects.

We can develop our intuition through practice of being in the moment and asking for guidance. Expect an answer with a tender heart of gratitude, unconditional Love. Listen. Sometimes the answer comes immediately, sometimes at the most unusual times; time and space in the high mental planes do not exist as it does on the conscious level.

Conscious Discrimination

If we are not conscious of our Higher Self or our voice of intuition, we are still in the flow of positive energy through our conscious discrimination, self-analysis and reasoning. You can ask FourSquare questions of yourself like: Is this feeling enthusiastic? Is this reasoning logical or impulsive, superstitious? Does it feel true, honest and sincere? Am I coming from a place of love or fear?  You are examining your emotions which empower your thoughts to physically manifest in your reality!

Why Listen

It’s simple! Our reality is shaped by our mind and emotions, so we should be conscious of what we are thinking and our emotional motivations and intents.

Listen to yourself. Be the watcher of the thinker, mindful in the moment. The more we are conscious, the more we can learn and work to refine our conscious energy and power of creativity, gradually raising our consciousness to Superconsciousness.

You’ve created this very moment for yourself!

That’s how powerful You are.

In the hope You find Love close at hand, PortiaSLB

“The more one listens to Intuition, the more is Intuition developed, and the surer and wiser become all our actions. Thus human beings, in developing within themselves that Divine Ray of Intuition, will manifest Wisdom, will become six-pointed stars, stars of wisdom, and will bring about the Dawn of the New Day, the Day of Peace, of Harmony and Power.”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 200.

This May Sting!

busy bees smooth

Okay, you may not like this entry, or at least the ego may not. It can sting.

Most of us are dissatisfied with who we are or the way we are. We don’t trust ourselves, and even think we’re a terrible person at times. We’re also impatient in our dissatisfaction, but we’ve got our pride. We cannot change into something different, transcend this unwanted personality  until we get a good look at it.

The personality is primarily created by the subconscious ego. We allow ourselves to be dominated by the ego which is self-serving, fearful and dualistic. We create a troubled reality because of it.

To regain control over our lives, our personality and create a more positive reality, we must be mindful and conscious in the moment – in a state of consciousness that we take responsibility for. But, the ego doesn’t want us to be conscious, mindful, or listen to our intuition and discriminate – it’s self-centered like that! We battle our conscience. It’s a vicious cycle.

How Did We Get Here?

The subconscious is our storage box of memories, thoughts, desires, and habitual emotional traits like fear, doubt, worry, loneliness, shame, and resentment. We’ve been conditioned to follow its dictates. It is a major factor in shaping our personality, or parts thereof, that we are dissatisfied with. We identify ourselves with subconscious traits and emotionally empower them as behaviors! “I’m mad, I’m lonely, I’m ashamed.”

The ego lacks discrimination and supports ignorance. After centuries of history repeating itself we should be able to see the truth in that. We don’t know ourselves. But, we must know ourselves in order to free ourselves of those parts that cause us pain and suffering.

Our personality, our reality, is something we created and agreed to. Fortunately, even from the darkness of the subconscious ego, it is our destiny to evolve and harmonize ourselves and become fully empowered.

Conscious Intent in Action!

It is our deepest desire and hope to align our personality with our soul. As we courageously make a conscious intent and live the qualities of love like consideration, kindness and caring we bit by bit gain control of our life, transforming our personality. As we consciously release negative egotistic traits we integrate personality and soul, becoming beings of Light here on earth. We transform our reality.

We may still experience pain, because we all suffer, but our inner happiness, peace and joy are not dependent on it.

The ego dislikes such information, but I hope you got a smile out of it!

Complain, Complain, Complain – taking it personal

We can be complainers. It’s a pattern with most of us. We see someone’s faults and we complain about them when it affects us. Unbeknownst to us however, when we complain about others faults we are aligning with the same energy we are complaining about! Complaining about them weakens us.

rain3 animated

Why Complain

We complain about the weather, the traffic, the government, and awful people. We’ve taken it personal!

Complaining says that we’re frustrated and feel like we’re inadequate to deal with it. Feeling powerless, we want to blame our aggravation on conditions or others and feel like a victim. We propagate reasons to  procrastinate and avoid responsibility even if we could do something.

We’re miserable and miserable to be around.

The Effects

Complaining keeps us dwelling on the negative, reinforcing it – attracting the very thing we are complaining about!

Most of us are unconscious of how much we complain because we can make such a habit of it. We may think we are just repeating what everyone else thinks or said, that we’re just venting, or maybe we feel like it is right to complain – like it’s an observation and we’re right!

But, like any thought, emotion or behavior, complaining is a real creative manifestation. And, therefore we are creating negative energy in our own reality! Plus, we attract more negative energy to us through the Law of Attraction. We create a less rewarding life, a less satisfying and happy one. And, eventually even our health can be adversely effected.

The emotional energy behind the complaint is also contagious! That low-frequency energy can spread first to those close to us like our family and friends trapping them too, making them feel frustrated and even powerless. They start to complain like we do. Or, our habitual complaining can push others away, affecting our relationships and our job.

Breaking the Habit

Fortunately, we can break the complaining habit!

1. Be Conscious/Mindful

First of all, we have to be conscious of complaining, have a positive intent to recognize that we are tempted to complain, or that we have complained! Be ‘the watcher of the thinker’ and observe unattached, without harsh judgement and taking things personal.

2. Take Responsibility

Being conscious in that moment is when we are becoming aware of our authentic power as a soul. We are consciously taking responsibility for ourselves.

I ask myself a simple question that I have shared before to help me recognize my true motivation: Am I coming from a place of fear or love?

3. Let it Go

When we recognize the temptation to complain or even that we have complained, then we still have the opportunity to let that thought go – to mentally step back from it. The ego may also want us to feel guilty or even hate our self, but is an illusion, because it too is only a temporary temptation and not from our true Self.

4. Choose a Positive Motivation/Emotion

In that moment of temptation to complain we can see it as an opportunity to choose an attitude coming from love instead of fear. Our attitude is emotional power and fearful ones of complaining hold us in that energy, making us feel even more unhappy and despondent.

Calm consideration lightens our load. Kindness does. Gentleness does. Appreciation does. Respect does. Seeing the good in others helps us! We free ourselves to search for solutions.

Sometimes we really don’t have any control over things, like the weather. Then we can change our focus to gratitude! Gratitude is an emotion that opens us to abundance and creates more reasons to be grateful!

 Reality Transformation

We are far more familiar with the ego than the tenderness of our heart and inner love. Yet, when we are conscious of ourselves, our inner love, we can also be conscious of the temptation to complain without being negativity influenced by it. And, we don’t take complaints personally, or let it hurt our ego because we are centered in love.

Consider being conscious of any temptation to complain and use the steps described above for the next 3 weeks and you will have established a new brain pattern that changes your reality!

We can change our mind, our attitude and our reality!

Where is Our Happiness?

bee and butterfly

It is only in the present moment that we experience anything!

And, experiencing the moment is our life – in it we create our reality.

If we spend this moment thinking about what to do next, hurry up and finish this or what happened yesterday we are squandering our life. If we spend it trapped in subconscious traits of worry, anger, loneliness, and fear we are squandering now. We are creating a reality to sleepwalk in.

Our happiness is in this moment. Even if we remember happy moments in the past or possible ones in the future we are squandering now. Our obsession with time is a tool of the subconscious ego that feeds itself.

Connecting with Nature and enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature helps us remember our own inner beauty and helps us connect with Now. Any beauty, does when we recognize it and emotionally connect through love (beauty is a quality of love).

Thus, the mind being dominated by love helps us consciously reconnect with our Superconsciousness, our intuition and inner wisdom, which opens us to a vast expanding universal consciousness of which is Love.

The Hots of Our Reality!

IMG_0409-0

Our ego wants to find love, but can go about it in wrong or harmful ways. It doesn’t really want to know why it’s that way.

Our appetites, our habits, our impulses and libido shape the way we are. They are our desires, and our desires and motivations shape our reality.

We are all looking for Love because mentally we are not conscious of True Love. But, we unconsciously look for love through desires of the ego. The ego can urge us to look for satisfaction or escape through excessive sex, food, recreational drugs and attention. The subconscious ego feels it is lacking which is based in fear. There is no Trust in Universal Love or Universal Abundance.

We can get comfortable with the urges and impulses of the ego and become addicted to over eating, alcohol, sex, infidelity and porn. Food is to sustain our body, an aspect of love and sex is a divine means of helping us realize Love. But, the ego uses urges and impulses to fulfill itself which can end up harming us.

Our great asset is consciousness or awareness. When we are conscious of our desires and motivations we can exercise our authentic power, the power of our soul and individuality. We can use our will to be motivated by love rather than fear.

When we are conscious of Love and motivated by it, then we shape our reality in it. Our thoughts, emotions and behaviors change and thus our reality changes. We live in the flow of life earnestly with enthusiasm, wisdom and caring. We are conscious of goodwill and act with kindness from the tenderness of our heart.

This changes the way we see the world and live our life. It changes our reality because our reality is shaped by the way we are.

In the hope You find Love close at hand, Portia SLB

“We think inharmoniously, and those thoughts of ours –unaware in most cases as we are that they will some day be visited upon us –act most destructively on us. The same is true of our negative emotions, such as hatred, jealousy, revenge, etc. Even if we feel these emotions toward other individuals, ultimately we are the ones who will be most harmed by indulging them, because of the law of Retribution.”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being

Discrimination is a Good Thing!

If we are politically correct we are not supposed to discriminate. Even using that word raises eyebrows. Discrimination is considered a bad thing. But, is that true?

Discrimination

We use our power of discrimination to distinguish between right and wrong, beautiful and ugly, desirable and undesirable, and everything in between.

With discrimination we make distinctions, choices, judgment calls.

Our discrimination and choices determine our future – our fate, because we build our future from our choices in the present moment. Therefore, our discrimination is important for our well-being.

Being a slave

It’s when we are unconscious of our power of discrimination that we fall into superstitions, blind beliefs, subconscious habits, and prejudices. We don’t think about it, but just do it! We’re not really making choices at all! We’re just being a slave to unconscious habits, conditioning and blind beliefs!

Plus, we flock together our prejudices and thinking, gather with friends and others that think the same way we do, which reinforces our habitual patterns. We condition ourselves.

Discrimination can reward us!

We have to be brave to consciously discriminate because we are accepting responsibility for our choices. But, we also reap the rewards.

We liberate ourselves from the whim of fear.

A World of Helping Hands

Freedom from Subconscious Enslavement

What’s Really Happening with Pain and Suffering, Part 6

humanity and suffering

Suffering Comes in many Forms

All of us suffer, but most of us do not even know that we suffer on a daily basis! Of course, we are aware of experiencing pain and suffering from illnesses and injuries. And, we are usually aware of  emotional suffering that flattens us with symptoms of loneliness or depression.

However, we tend to be unconscious of experiencing  some of the more common mental and emotional sufferings like boredom, mental exhaustion, impatience, pride, greed and jealousy. They can grow  unnoticed and unchecked in the subconscious, then resurface, morphed into harsher forms of suffering. Even causing physical illness!

Emotions like anger, hatred, worry, jealousy and greed can become habitual without us knowing it and dominate our personality, enslaving us! We can feel like a victim of injustice and tend to blame others or the situation, striking out in frustration, anger or  even violence. Riots start this way.

The subconscious is a horrible burden that causes us to suffer.

What Can We Do?

Our destiny as humans is to align our personality with our Individuality and Soul. To release negative emotions and traits that enslave us and cause us to suffer. To be strong, free and happy.

To heal ourselves there must be Love. Yet, it starts by being conscious or mindful of love in the present moment.

It stands to reason that when we consciously manifest love from our heart we are exercising True Power and fulfilling our destiny as a Soul.

We build to Harmony and alleviate suffering moment by moment, day by day. From a conscious state we can release the emotional pain of traumatic experiences, fear, subconscious temptations and enslaving habits as discussed in this series by several methods. And, they work!

Our heart is the Seat of Love and Center of Attraction. The more we express love the more we are conscious of receiving it. The more we feel connected to everyone else in an aura of goodwill, caring and compassion. The more we feel connected to the Great Principle.

We will as humans continue to be faced with challenges, yet with awareness of Love within us we can face those challenges bravely and without suffering from desires.

And this is the amazing part about manifesting love from our heart, it not only helps alleviate our own suffering, but also helps all humanity. They pass it on and so it circles!

In that intent, a new exercise as been added in which we activate our spiritual heart to help ourselves and the world:
