A Mindful Contact

nTree Tunnel relaxation

There are two simple exercises that are essential before meditation. And, they have important benefits when preformed independent of meditation.

Relaxation and Silence only takes a few minutes a day  to get a glimpse into your own mind and it’s nature. You can become conscious of vaster areas of mind, quiet the mental, monkey chatter and refresh your body.

We are usually caught up in the daydream of the ego during our day at work or home. Yet, in  these exercise you can release the daily worries and stress. You become conscious of the mental chatter, the urges and desires of the subconscious, the reasoning and logic of the consciousness and the calm, peaceful guidance of the Superconsciousness. You quiet the mind and release the ego.

Some have described the Silence as experiencing “nothing” or “zero.” And, you may not recognize it until after coming out of it. Your consciousness becomes open, clear and fresh. Before you is the vastness of possibilities without expectations and you become mindful, in the moment.

A big bonus is that in this open physical and mental state you may become conscious of the influx of Universal Life Energy, the first manifestation of the Absolute! It is an influx that is always occurring, yet when we are conscious of it then the more more good it can do for us.

We unconsciously use Universal Life Energy to create our reality – and in a subconscious, negative emotional state then that creation will attract more negative energy. Yet, when we are conscious of Life Energy then we can contact it to help us attract more positive energy in our endeavors and quest to create a stronger, healthier, happier life.

For more information how to preform these simple exercises: Relaxation and Silence

“The two exercises to be acquired by you first are Relaxation and Silence, without which no other exercise can be properly performed. Only when the body and mind are completely relaxed can you get what is called a real rest, for only then are you in the most ideally receptive condition. All the gates of your body and mind are then opened to the inflow of the supreme Universal Power called Life Energy.”

Listening as instrument for egolessness: Listening, Part 4

tropical beauty refined

We’ve grown to the point of consciousness enough to know that so much of the time we are dominated by the ego – by the negative traits of the ego that causes us to suffer. Now we have this deep desire to grow and consciously create our happiness with good causes. Yet, we feel we still need help to understand why we continue to experience troubles and fall once again into negative emotions.

Why listen to wisdom teachings

Reading wisdom books, listening to the teachers, listening to a master has the purpose to remind us of what we already know. We’ve just forgotten. We are reminded to listen and be more conscious of our Higher Self and our own inner guidance.

We have become so out of touch that we feel that we must seek spiritual ‘authorities’ to help us. The truth is we don’t need wisdom teachings to connect with our True Self because it is something we already are. No authority or clergy is needed in-between you and your Higher Self. Unfortunately, we are conditioned to believe that is true.

The teachings, teachers, or clergy are not to be believed, blindly followed or even assumed as true. In fact beliefs can instead energize the ego to keep us enslaved and frozen in a fixed idea. Rather we are to work to experience Truth for ourselves; to know the Truth.

I am grateful for wisdom teachings and teachers because they can and do lead the way, yet we are the only one that can remember and reconnect with our Inner Self. And, the more we do so repeatedly the more we become conscious of I am.

We may not understand the teachings the first time we’ve heard or read it. Yet, there may be a time in listening that it awakens us to our Higher Self and we do understand. I’ve had some of my wisdom books, Science of Being, for over 35 years and I always am inspired when I read passages from it again. That is why there is power in reading and listening!

We get caught up and lost in our human life. Truth is Law, ubiquitous and eternal. And, Truth in spiritual teachings will strike a chord, which may feel like a deep desire to return home. Or it may be like a bell going off in our head or heart, and it rings true to us. Listen. It is your Higher Self and soul. Ringing Truth to awaken us. This has happened to me and it may have to You also.

Truth opens us to unconditional Love. And, as we do we are also able to release negative thoughts and emotions. And, we begin to create a positive reality with positive energy.

Wisdom Tools

Wisdom teachings remind us to be conscious, mindful, respectful, grateful and loving.

Listening to our Higher Self and wisdom teachings, reflection, mindfulness, Silence and meditation. These are your, our, Wisdom Tools! Then we must Act harmoniously within Universal Laws. And, be lead by unconditional Love. We are letting the ego die. Creating a egoless life. A spiritually driven life.

“The Great Law is never absent and never idle on this Earth or elsewhere. It is continually seeking new channels for Its expression, new mouths to carry Its Message to suffering Humankind. It speaks through the lips of Leaders of men, through scientific discoveries, through better laws, artistic achievement, the living word and the printed page.”

Your  affection is like thunder and lightning,
Yet, with a gentle touch You become an Universal electrifier
to help raise the mortal conscious higher.

You taste the mountain dew, smell mystical roses, kiss yellow buttercups,
You feel the earth’s distant rumble
and stride over the high horizon,  humble.

You gather the power of your Inner Source
and express Wisdom with commanding force
To all within and far beyond the circle.

Though you suffer deeply
With the sword of Truth at heart
The essence of you is  Justice, Love more than counterpart.

You are a paradox, not
You are the Spiritual warrior.

We are All this beautiful and unique!

The Future is Present

Jungle Fern on Leaf refined

Clocks and calendars are a human, mental invention we created to help us organize for the future and comprehend how much time has past. In some other realms beyond our three dimensional one time does not exist as we humanly perceive it.

Through analogy we can get a hint of that even in our present consciousness – because the past, particularly the immediate past, can have a great impact on the present and the immediate future, especially when we bring the past with us mentally.

This in turn, emphasizes the importance of the present moment and our conscious awareness of it. Dwelling on the past can keep us in habitual patterns of reliving past experiences  freezing our self-imagine, limiting us and keeping us circling in associated emotions. Or, we can worry about the future, anxious and afraid that things may happen similar to what may have occurred before. Our negative emotions draw more negative energy to us contributing to our current condition and we may carry that around with us, creating negative conditions in our future.

It’s our opportunity to be mindful and in the moment, synchronizing body and mind. We have the chance to mentally release the negative of the ego and be conscious of and grateful for all the positive in our life. An opportunity to manifest sincerity, kindness, goodwill and love. Not only creating our happiness now because we are conscious of the positive energy and emotions in our life, but also because we carry it with us into what we call our future.

As we raise our consciousness by being mindful and in the moment, we awaken to more beauty and happiness. And, through the Law of Cause and Effect we build our future condition too!

Every moment is loaded with spiritual potential that expands into our future and into higher realms that are meant for us!

“It is a very important thing that we should not keep Love unmanifested, but should at every opportunity disclose it, show it forth, manifest it, be it in a word, in a smile, in a look or in a handshake.”

Mindful in Nature: Power of Listening, Part 3

The Trees Sing

The leaves stir, moved by a gentle breeze,

Listen! There’s a voice of silence in-between,

The trees sing, as the breeze weaves the stories.

We are inspired by beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We look up into the night sky at the moon, stars and Milk Way and are amazed at the beauty and wonder of it. We are getting a glimpse of the Infinite and it inspires us.

Communing with Nature

By being in nature, mindful and consciously aware we are communing with All that is, the Great All. We commune through vibration, Universal Life Energy, chi. Every cell, every fiber, every mental and emotional frequency of our being resonances with Universal Life Energy in nature and it harmonizes us. In nature we naturally synchronize with the earth energies, reestablishing balance between our auric field and earth energies. Our emotional and mental vibrations rises. We are feeding our soul. Healing ourselves.

And as we  resonant, we can gain access to the wisdom in nature.  Nature has a silent voice. And, we can hear it when we are quiet inside, mindful, open and receptive. How much we can hear is a matter of our state of consciousness.

Being quiet and mindful, we can get inspirations through our Higher Self. It may be a mental voice, colors, music, visions, or understanding.

We are interconnected with all natural life in its many varied forms. We can feel the energy and the way it effects us. For example, different crystals have different vibrations and frequencies.

Hold different crystals in your hand or to your ‘third eye’ and feel the different frequencies, the way it makes you feel or how it opens a door to your awareness.

Meditate under a tree and you may gain access to the tree consciousness.

The stream babbles, has many experiences, and you can get an impression of them.

The spirit of the mountain speaks and has great wisdom that relates to us. Listen.

A natural life

We can learn much from nature. The mountains, seas, plants and animals are not burdened by beliefs, religions and superstitions that condition us and separate us. They live a more natural life and in harmony with earth. They benefit from the strength, wisdom and growth of each other. And, only until very near the end of their earthly cycle do they begin to decline in strength and beauty.

 Connecting with Nature

Nature is the very air we breathe. The warmth of sunshine on our face. The beating of our heart.

Everyday one of the first things I do in the morning, weather permitting, is to go outside and raise my hands, my head and mind to lookup within to the Universe and open myself to the Great Father and Mother Nature. I consciously contact Universal Life Energy and open myself to receive It, mindful and return it according to Universal Law.

We commune. I am grateful. Love is close at hand.

“WHAT IS CALLED MATTER IS BUT THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF EFFECTS PRODUCED ON THE SENSES BY VARIOUS MANIFESTATIONS OF PRIMAL ENERGY. THEREFORE MATTER IS ONLY A STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS, THE PRESENT MANNER IN WHICH THOSE EFFECTS ARE PERCEIVED.”

Do You listen to yourself? Why listen to mental chatter, inspirations and reasoning: Listening – Part 2

gentle voice of intuition

We generally don’t listen to ourselves! Listening to ourselves is a big step towards owning and honoring our power to create our own reality – a happy one!

Our reality starts in our thinking. We currently function on three base levels of mind: the self-conscious; the sub-conscious ego; and the Superconscious, Higher Self. And, it pays to listen to all three levels.

How do we know the difference?

Subconscious
We like to think we are conscious during our waking hours. And, we are… sometimes. But because we are human and busy…., we can get lazy, confused and jump in the energy of the subconscious ego; into conditioning, desire, and impulse. It has no reasoning power, and is very fertile ground, so when a thought or suggestion enters it can grow unnoticed!

We live in the past, rethinking it over and over – what happened and how we may have done it differently. We experience guilt, depression, loneliness. We live in the future, constantly worrying about what we are going to do next, and experience impatience, anxiety, fear.

We are so used to the mental voice of the subconscious ego that it sounds normal to us. But, there are hints; our emotions can lead us back to the reason and the level of mind they originated. The ego is impatient and demanding. So if we feel jittery, hurried, pushed, impulsive, or confused then our thoughts are coming from the ego. The ego is also self-centered. So if we feel tired, jealous, guilty, lonely, left out, in any way take things personal then our thoughts are coming from the ego.

Conscious  –  Our conscious self is the controller of our life!
The conscious self is the listener, the observer, the discriminator. It can listen to reason, to the ego and to the Higher Self and discriminate between them. Plus, it is the gate-keeper to the subconscious and can control what goes into the subconscious to grow. So your consciousness is your great asset!

When we are conscious, we are observant, aware, rational. We don’t assume and are willing to learn; curious. We question things and our self, analyze and can discipline to not take things personal which can blur our judgment! The inner voice is self-conscious of our being; aware of our will-power and individual power to discriminate and choose. So if we feel sincere, honest, true, have a sense of wonder or a sense of humor then our thoughts are coming from the self-conscious. We are conscious of love, the feeling of inclusive, unconditional love, of caring, consideration and goodwill.

Superconscious
Your Higher Self speaks to you through intuition, inspiration and even instinct. Our Higher Self does not urge us to do anything. Nor does it impose – we have to be quiet within to consciously listen to that still voice. If not we can miss it! When we feel calm and collected, peaceful then the inner voice comes from our Superconscious.

Our Higher Self can help us. And, it pays to listen because it is connected to Universal Mind, the all-knowing Cosmic Mind. The guidance is always wise and true, leading to positive effects.

We can develop our intuition through practice of being in the moment and asking for guidance. Expect an answer with a tender heart of gratitude, unconditional Love. Listen. Sometimes the answer comes immediately, sometimes at the most unusual times; time and space in the high mental planes do not exist as it does on the conscious level.

Conscious Discrimination

If we are not conscious of our Higher Self or our voice of intuition, we are still in the flow of positive energy through our conscious discrimination, self-analysis and reasoning. You can ask FourSquare questions of yourself like: Is this feeling enthusiastic? Is this reasoning logical or impulsive, superstitious? Does it feel true, honest and sincere? Am I coming from a place of love or fear?  You are examining your emotions which empower your thoughts to physically manifest in your reality!

Why Listen

It’s simple! Our reality is shaped by our mind and emotions, so we should be conscious of what we are thinking and our emotional motivations and intents.

Listen to yourself. Be the watcher of the thinker, mindful in the moment. The more we are conscious, the more we can learn and work to refine our conscious energy and power of creativity, gradually raising our consciousness to Superconsciousness.

You’ve created this very moment for yourself!

That’s how powerful You are.

In the hope You find Love close at hand, PortiaSLB

“The more one listens to Intuition, the more is Intuition developed, and the surer and wiser become all our actions. Thus human beings, in developing within themselves that Divine Ray of Intuition, will manifest Wisdom, will become six-pointed stars, stars of wisdom, and will bring about the Dawn of the New Day, the Day of Peace, of Harmony and Power.”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 200.

The Power of Listening, what it does for You: Part 1- In Conversation

image

Too many of us would rather have our voice heard than listen, talking at others rather than talking with others, force-feeding our opinions and stories. It’s more about us than the other person; we’re trying to lift our own spirits rather than the other person, asking for acceptance and hoping we are worthy of love. Listening is a commanding tool of conversation. And, essential for expanding our consciousness and  refining our reality.

Why listen

Sincerely listening to someone empowers the speaker and the speaker gradually unfolds, relying on the listener/s. The energy of the thoughts, emotions and behaviors in a conversation from both the speaker and listener shape the reality of the moment!

By listening we are better able to sense the quality or charge of the mental and emotional energy, if it is positive or negative, and the intent.

As we listen we can  also learn about ourselves!  Are we inwardly impatient, self-righteous, bored, fearful or insecure?  It’s an opportunity to know the way we think and where our energy goes to form our self-image, personality and eventually our reality!

5 ways to be a better communicator

A symbiosis occurs in a two-way conversation through like attracts like. Here are 5 simple pointers to being a good listener and communicator in conversations:

  1. Be conscious

Be quiet and listen to the speaker and your own inner dialog. Being mindful in the moment opens you to vaster understanding and wisdom about yourself and the other person!

Your presence as a person and soul may helping the other person without saying a word. But, they may also ask for your counsel.

  2. Be sincere

Be yourself, no pretending. Sincerity can lead to a stronger coherence from all those involved.

Sincerity is a quality of Truth that you can consciously feel. Through this awareness you open yourself to your own consciousness and reality.

  3. Make eye-contact.

Your eyes are the window of your mind and soul!

You are synchronizing your own body and mind, as both listener and speaker synchronize to similar energy frequencies.

  4. Listen, observe, then keep what you say brief.

In the silence of listening you can objectively analyze, observe yourself, and be aware of your own frequency, intent and make any adjustments to stay true to yourself. You can spot any temptation to be insulted, aggravated, angry or other fearful emotions. If you perceive any low-frequency thoughts or behaviors then you can prevent from entering your subconscious by consciously negating them.

When you speak be honest and to the point. Ask relevant questions, gradually going deeper, getting to the heart of the matter.

This is the point of true intent to manifest and the determining factor of the overall charge of energy in the conversation and how you and others will be effected.

  5. Be considerate.

There may be things you don’t agree with or like in conversation, yet that is part of being free-willed individuals. The speaker is asking for love; it helps you to be conscious of that.

By being considerate and grateful in the moment, mindful of the opportunity to converse with others you open yourself to love. Love for yourself, the speaker and others. Plus, the love radiates energy in your aura and is an added protection from negative energy that may have been manifested.

But, if you are disinterested, annoyed, and impatient in a conversation you are attracting the same energy, drawing negative bioenergy from others. Plus, the Law of Cause and Effect, karma will also be a factor!

You are shaping your reality

You never know what a person takes with them from your encounter, but there will be a result from the cause started in conversation! And, by listening you are helping empower them in their reality.

Your own reality is also shaped. You created this moment for yourself. By listening you are able to silent your own mental chatter and rest in your core character. You can gain insights and inspiration about yourself and the situation of the conversation and what to do or say, if anything, about it.

Most interesting is that you can come to know that you love unconditionally and mindful of your happiness. And, that energy radiates out to touch the aura of those in the conversation first, then further. You are being a Light in the world without saying a word.

Love is the great harmonizer, therefore listen with your heart and speak from your heart.

As the sun sets on the horizon it seems to happen very slowly.
The same is true of our life.
Our life seems to pass by slowly day by day, season by season, year by year.
But, before we know it we are in the sunset of our life –
and we have the opportunity to stop
and reflect on the many sunsets we’ve experienced
to express gratitude,
for walking softly in nature,
for breathing in the air,
for feeling Universal Energy through the sun, the moon and stars
for the daily glimpses of happiness and peace between all the stress;
for experiencing silence in-between all the noise;
for listening to our Higher Self;
for Friends that shared Truth,
for knowing the truth of our self;
for being loved by the one and unknown others,
for knowing we can love ourselves,
for loving one and further,
for this life’s wonderful, spiritual journey!

It’s always an opportunity to reflect and ask ourselves do we experience the GREATEST, MOST BEAUTIFUL MANIFESTATION OF LOVE?

“Whenever we love unselfishly, not from our own personal little self, but from the Great Self, then that ocean of Infinite Power and Harmony is immediately behind us in its GREATEST, MOST BEAUTIFUL MANIFESTATION OF LOVE –  the manifestation which is last and yet is first because it is the most important, and because it is  THE GREAT PRINCIPLE, THE ABSOLUTE.

Sometimes others can have a different perspective and see things about us that are true, while we are too close to it. A true value of a friend is they will always tell us like it is, even when it is something we really don’t want to hear.

At the very least they can tell that something is bothering us. That’s our clue to examine the situation for ourselves and see if it is true. Then if it is then to do something about it!

True friendship is the most precious thing on earth!

Sheer Natural Beauty Fascination

“Buddha taught His fellow beings to love as their younger brothers all those entities belonging to the different kingdoms of Nature, to respect their lives. Thus He prepared His followers to love better their own fellow men, the highest manifestation in Nature.”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 100.

We can go through our day and even through our life without appreciating the grass beneath our feet, the trees that defy gravity to grow upright, or the clouds above our heads full of life giving water particles. Yet, they are an integrate part of our life, and they add beauty to our life. Nature inspires us if we are willing to be aware and conscious of it.

The beauty of these small pink orchids fascinate me and stir my imagination. They’re like little fairies with wings that sparkle from natural luminescence.

They’re about 2-3 inches across, and most of their petals are very sheer, while the center is bright yellow with tiny fuzzy looking growth. They have an aura of gentle eloquence and refinement. Yet, in their gentleness they also have a very strong presence. Unique and beautiful.

A friend had these orchids in a pot at her house in Thailand on the deck. She said that any orchids she tries to keep outside get eaten by the squirrels! Yes, squirrels any where in the world can be aggravating when they eat our stuff! I suppose that’s an analogy that it’s not our stuff – but Mother Nature’s!
