It’s Not Always Pretty!

A spiritual journey is not for the faint of heart because it can mean a great deal of work to know both the personal, human traits and the individual, spiritual aspects of ourselves. Knowledge of the human, personal part is not always pretty, yet it is essential in order to release any part of it that may be holding us back from the success and happiness that is our natural right as souls.

seashells with butt

Our life is our spiritual journey.  And, by looking at our life experiences, the choices we’ve made and our character we can learn about ourselves.

But, some of it – yeah, a lot of it is not pretty! Yet, it is essential to look at that too in order to grow.

“Know yourself and you will know All,” means we have to look at and know what we perceive as ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’ about ourselves.

We often overlook the ‘good’ about ourselves, identifying instead with ‘the bad and the ugly’ more often than not. We suffer from the ugly emotions of traumas and painful situations, identifying ourselves as a victim rather than as an authentic person that’s had terrible experiences. We experience fear unconsciously.

Sometimes we even choose to identify ourselves as ‘bad,’ and act it out. And that is our right as a soul. Yet, that doesn’t mean that abuse should be tolerated – even from ourselves. It should not.

All experiences, even ‘bad and ugly’ experiences have value. Those negative energy ones point out what we are to overcome and can motivate us to reach for our inner strength, wisdom, truth and love in order to heal ourselves. That we might come to know ourselves as a compassionate power and soul.

What They’re Not Telling, Part 5

Spirit of the Soul

We tend to overlook our simplest soul attributes and put them in the back seat of our activities. Yet, we need only express them in our life to help us live a more successful, happier life now. And as we live them consistently, the more refined we become, revealing the source of those qualities – the Spirit of our Soul.

newborn 1

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, patrisyu

A newborn’s tender expressions of their soul remind us of our own soul qualities which are hidden behind the masks we have created for ourselves and we’ve come to believe. We were once newborns too, and can express those FourSquare qualities again:

  • Newborns assert living in the moment. Life is precious and this moment is a once in a lifetime opportunity to live it fully without fear of the unknown future or pain of the past.
  • Their very presence is the felicity of creative change. Change is the very nature of the universe, and it is advantageous for us to maintain an attitude that is mentally open and adaptable rather than fight against change, looking on it as an opportunity for growth.
  • Newborns demonstrate that we do not know everything there is to know and that is a blessing because we have the joy of learning and making new discoveries before us. As we commit to our spiritual practice in earnest, we become more conscious of inspiration and guidance of our Super-consciousness and the traits and habits of the subconsciousness, which we can use wisely to help transform ourselves. With an Enlightened Mind we discriminate intelligently with the consideration of Love leading us in our choices of behaviors.
  • Newborns testify to sincerity, honesty and the power of faith and trust in the Eternal. Doubt fades away the more we are sincere and honest we are in our thoughts, feelings and behaviors, freeing us from the roles we play and aligning with the Universal Laws. Habitually repeating anger, resentment, guilt, worry and other subconscious traits can lead to becoming self-righteous, limiting our view of the world and ourselves.
  • It is easy to love our own newborns since they are so tender, gentle and trusting. Newbies radiate an aura of generous love and even if they are not our children they warm our hearts. Their heart of love attracts love from within us and gives us the great opportunity to know the best part of ourselves, our unconditional Love and the endless abundance of love. Compassionate Love promotes understanding and cooperation.
  • When we look into the eyes of a newborn we can see that Divinity is close at hand, because looking into the eyes of another human is looking at Divinity. And, when we are truly conscious of looking at Divinity, another Soul, we can see ourselves in them, because we are of the same Divine Source.

Easy to Love
As we consciously practice releasing false beliefs about ourselves, we also can wholeheartedly embrace Love and all our soul qualities of Strength, Wisdom, Truth. The more we do, the closer we come to the full realization of the Spirit of our Soul, the Divine in ourselves.

We can see the Divine in newborns. Now is the time to see It in others and most of all experience It in our self. Our Soul qualities to wholeheartedly manifest are:

Until next time consider this quote to reflect upon:

“The emotion of Love is for us the key which open the gates of Heaven. In reality we do not love human beings; we think we do. We love Divinity through human beings. We have that longing and yearning within us to go back to the Father, to the Absolute, and whenever we find a channel through which we can achieve that return to Him, a channel opened by Love, we are only too glad to use it, because it is the inmost desire of our heart, it is the love of our Soul.”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 44.

What They’re Not Telling, Part 4

 Soul Statement of Love

We spend most of our life unconscious of the best part of our self, and at times suffer from aversion, fear, and loneliness. But, newborns speak to us soul to soul to help us know that we are capable of giving and receiving the deepest kind of love.

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, David Castillo Dominici

Being Lead by Love
It was love at first site for me, even before first site, when my children were born. And, for most people newborns draw some degree of love from them through the Law of Vibration and the Law of Attraction.

  • You can see tenderness in others when they respond to newborns. Newborns have a transcendental atmosphere about them that brings gentleness, nurturing and love to the surface of our consciousness. Through loving them we can get a real sense of our unlimited capacity to love. The more we love the more we have to give.
  • Little by little we begin to realize that compassion is unconditional love in action and it’s a great privilege to help another being, if it is nurturing a newborn or even if it is only holding the door for someone. That’s a great gift because it helps us be less self-centered, while getting a glimpse of our true character which is abundantly generous with kindness, goodwill and patience.
  • Through compassion we can come to appreciate the opportunity and benefit of approaching everyone as a friend with respect and compassion. Love is wise because it is also Enlightened Mind. Thus, we will be wise enough to know when to back off and let anyone have their space if they are contrary. It is our opportunity to love them unconditionally without harsh judgment and help them if they ask for it. They are on their journey, working out their karma as they agreed to with The Great Law.
  • Another quality of love that newborns bring to the forefront of our consciousness is patience, and they certainly can help us discipline in that respect. We can come to recognize patience within ourselves. But, we add to the energy of impatience and negative if we tolerate aggression in our adult relationships. That’s when to say “no” to aggression and cruelty which causes all concerned to suffer and we should not be patient with it. We can learn to set limits, while keeping our heart open to unconditional love.

Being Human
Newborns are human and complain like most of us. They cry when they are impatient, but on a deeper level they cry to be cared for and loved. Their impatience and complaints do not hurt us because we love them.

When we, as adults, are impatient or complain we are unconsciously trying to be cared for and loved too, but being self-conscious we are responsible for the perverted idea of love. We try to get attention and sympathy, even wanting to blame someone or something else rather than taking responsibility for ourselves.

If someone’s complaints hurt our feelings that is because there is something within the ego to be hurt. They can motivate us to look within ourselves and find out why.

For ways to release habitual behaviors that keeps us repeating the same adverse patterns consider the series: The Power of Emotion to Change Your Life.

The Law of Attraction is the Law of Love
We are naturally attracted to newborns because of love. When we discriminate and consciously let love lead us then we naturally feel it in our heart, and compassion begins to grow in us which spreads to embrace others too.

Great Friends of humanity have brought the message of Love throughout the ages, and so too has The Lightbearer Eugene Fersen brought the Law of Love to help us return to the Love of our Soul and the Eternal, transforming ourselves to a freer, stronger and happier condition.

THE LAW OF LOVE: NO MATTER UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES,
ALWAYS MEET EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY WITH LOVE.

Next week we’ll put it all together, with the help of the Great Law and look at how expressing all of our soul qualities of Life, Mind, Truth and Love naturally leads us to realization of union with Spirit. It’s what newborns are not telling us, unless we read their analogy!

Until next week consider this quote to reflect upon:

“All things can be bought; LOVE IS THE ONE THING WHICH CAN NEVER BE BOUGHT. That is why it is really precious and that is why we should never be ungenerous with it, because there is always enough for us to give. In fact, the more we give, the more there is to be given.”

What They’re Not Telling, Part 3

Soul Statement of Truth and Law

Newborns can’t talk, but they display an amazing presence of Sincerity, Truth and Law. As adults we can be insincere, superficial, and deceitful. Have we forgotten what we knew as newborns? Infants have a lot to teach us Soul to Soul if we read their analogy.

Newborns are very sincere. They are expressing their Soul.
Newborns are very sincere, expressing their Soul Quality of Truth.
FreeDigtalPhotos.net,  David Castillo Dominici

Genuine

Newborns bring Truth to the surface of their being; they are very sincere and honest. Plus, research is showing that babies as young as three months old know right from wrong as seen in the 60 Minutes clip below. The clip also offers that we incarnate carrying prestigious we’ve accumulated in the subconscious ego, yet there is hope through understanding of justice and love to rise above them.

Newborns do cry and are impatient, but when they cry they are sincerely expressing physical issues.

In a way we cry too, complain and are impatient when we experience problems. We are inclined to worry, doubt and fear our ability to harmonize them. We are reluctant to go to dark places within our self and see our mistakes, to feel them fully, then work to release them and start new positive causes. That takes courage.

Trust and Faith
Newborns are very courageous. They incarnated to earth physically helpless, demonstrating great trust and faith in the Eternal. As their caretakers, we carry a great hope for our newborns to grow, become adults and achieve all that they can. We encourage and bolster their growth. It is an analogy that says we also have within us trust and faith, but we doubt the Source.

The Truth and Law of Our Soul
We are inherently sincere and courageous, but we get lost in the dream of the ego. We doubt our connection and the support of the Eternal. We prop up false images of our self trying to be what we perceive others expect us to be. In other words, we are inclined to be insincere and pretentious.

And, when it is a ‘little white lie’ we think it’s okay and even polite! Like when we say things to people we don’t really mean, but say them anyway trying to please them.

We can be kind without lying. We can choose to look others in the eye and speak sincerely;  we can choose to say what we mean and mean what we say, keeping our promises. We can choose to be honest and law-abiding.

Through our choices we determine the path of our life; we create the vast majority of the conditions around us and within us.

Allowing Truth
You know how it feels when you sincerely express the truth; how liberating and freeing it is. That’s because you are releasing yourself from the chains of the subconscious ego. The Great Law encourages and assists our growth through all the Universal Laws that we live in. Truth frees us of egotistic traits and opens us to the tenderness, kindness and Love of our heart and soul, and thereby we create expansive, abundant, and happier conditions

Fear of Terrorists, Part 3

We all are affected in some way by terrorism because each of us carry a trait of fear in our ego and personality. When that trait is activated through worry, hatred, anguish or similitude it adds to the world collective of negative energy, pulling us further into it.

Terrorism and fear are problems to rise above as we make other choices that lead to happiness for us all.

BE CONSCIOUS OF FEAR
Any fear that we harbor in the subconsciousness can be unconsciously activated and added to the fear circling the globe when we relate to terrorism through the media or any other way.

It can also draw more negative energy and fear to us. Thus, some of the fear we experience concerning the situation may be what we unconsciously drew to us from the fear circling in the world mental atmosphere. It’s like the mass seduction of a mob with fear spreading from person to person until nearly everyone is affected.

CHOOSE PEACE
Whenever you experience any type of fear, especially fear of terrorism, look on it as an opportunity to over-come it. That’s putting some positive energy in the equation already.

Consider viewing the ‘thinker’ within, bringing your thinking to the present moment where your body is physically. It frees you to practice silencing the mind, thereby releasing fearful thoughts, and you can consciously choose to align with inner and universal peace.

You can find out more about how to enter the Silence here: Relaxation and Silence.

BE OPEN TO UNDERSTANDING
Through science we now have a bigger view of the universe; we are part of a great sea of infinite galaxies, infinite abundance, infinite creativity and infinite power. This enables us to have a deeper understanding and a base of faith that we are part of something greater than our self.

What some would call God, Lightbearers call the Great Principle, Our Father, that IS Unlimited Power, Cosmic Mind, Ubiquitous Law, All-inclusive Love and All-Encompassing Spirit.

Simply IS

Background: FreeDigitalPhotos.net, hyena reality

HAVE FAITH
Humanity created religions for our own emotional comfort because of the pain from our mental fall from Grace; our belief that we have lost the support of the Eternal. Fear, hatred and all the other negative subconscious traits were created because of that belief, and terrorists and fear of terrorists stem from that.

Yet, there is hope because there is still a flicker of faith within us that Harmony exists. That faith can become a flame to help us rise above fear.

DEVELOP AN INNER SENSE OF PEACE
Though we may experience fear it will eventually end because we created it and give it power.

Let us fight for freedom! When you are peaceful, happy and loving within yourself and express goodwill, caring, kindness and compassion for others, it helps raise everyone out of fear and break the cycle of terror.

Love too can circle around the world, increasing the Light in mind and heart.

You can find more about the Great Principle here: Our Father.

Consider this quote to reflect upon:

“We must live peace, be one with it. That is our problem, our final aim as Lightbearers. We must gird ourselves with the sword of courage. We must fight, not on the battlefield of killing, but on destroying all that is opposing real happiness within us.”

Fear of Terrorists, Part 2

The raging storm of terror that is generated by hatred, fear and self-righteousness is also unconsciously fed by associated fear-based traits like worry, prejudice, impatience, pride and ignorance. An impersonal analysis of the situation can help us calm the turbulent tempest in our thinking, free us to be in the moment, and with the help of the Eternal begin to enact inner peace.

image

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, Stuart Miles

Unconscious of fear

Terrorists also use religious and self-righteous claims as a means to unconsciously cover up their own fear and to abet hatred. Their egos feel threatened and powerless, so in trying to empower their egos they fall further into hatred with a responsive belief that they are doing the right thing. With so much negative energy circling they become a slave to it.

Plus, wanting their cause to grow, they use that negative energy to attract others. And it works. More people are joining terrorist organizations out of fear. Fear attracts more negative energy and fear.

The fear boomerang

It does not stop there because that fearful energy boomerangs back to the originators, burgeoning, attracting what they fear (retaliatory attacks and subjugation). It terrorizes them to the point of desperation and thus they attack again.

We don’t know what terrorists as individuals have been through to get this way, yet terrorism is an attention-getter that is really a cry for love. It is the ego that doesn’t know how to cope with the stress of change and is afraid.

Analogy

Acts of mindless killing or beheading by the terrorists are going beyond a spit in the face with disrespect. It is a very personal message to instill fear and to demonstrate their resolve to wreak havoc in their struggle for what they perceive as justice, trying to empower themselves. In their self-centeredness, fear and guilt they lose their empathy for others.

Cutting off the most ready means of identification is an allegory for losing one’s self. It is symbolic of the perpetrators losing their own head and sanity, cutting off all reasoning and consciousness; the fall of mind.

Black is symbolic of the unknown and the shrouded assassin in black is symbolic of the unknown fear of the terrorists.

Rise above doubt

Fear of terrorists cycles, boomerangs round and round, growing world-wide, attacking anyone that unconsciously feeds it with worry, prejudice, antagonism or other fear-based traits. All this because of doubt.

As discussed in the last post, we experience fear because we doubt our connection to and the support of the Eternal. Let us be brave and remember that we have the support of the Eternal, and enact unconditional Love instead of fear within ourselves. This can help us all to face the situation with courage, while not tolerating hatred, prejudice and egotistic self-righteousness.

May You find Love close at hand, Portia SLB

In the final post of this series we will dig deeper for understanding, discuss the importance of faith and with the help of the Great Law, step closer to inner peace. Until then consider this quote to reflect upon:

“We should not say we are alone. We are not. We should rise above it and say, ‘I have within me the Sword of Truth, my helmet is the Inspiration from above.”

Eugene Fersen, Advanced Teachings in Science of Being, Volume 2, page 124.

What Not to Do, Part 3

We’re Conditioned!

Sure, we were taught not to be impatient or loose our temper, but we do it anyway and get caught in these very habitual behaviors. We can’t seem to help our self.

ID-100238139

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, taoty

Continuing from the previous two post’s list of what not to do:

We’re Conditioned to Believe

6 – We’ve conditioned our self to believe negative egotistic behaviors like fear, worry, resentment and greed are part of standard human behavior and are acceptable rather than consciously releasing them and regaining our freedom!

In fact, we can live in ‘what not to do’ for so long that we think it is ‘what to do’!

7 – We are conditioned to obey an ‘authority’ without first using our own discrimination process and listening to our Superconscious.

8 – We think it’s okay to tell little white lies to save our self from embarrassment or someone else’s involvement.

9 – We want to be liked, admired, and known as a nice person, and therefore, we mold our self to that image, trying to please others.

Spirit of Love

That gentle voice of intuition telling us that something is wrong, a what not to do moment, is our consciousness tapping into Superconsciousness which is part of our Soul and Universal Mind guiding us.

If we ignore the guidance of our Higher Self we still have backup means to help us know the right thing to do. We can reason with purposeful discrimination we learned through experience, conditioning and education, but we still have a choice to take it or leave it. It’s like the aphorism: You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Means of the Mind

Eventually, we must come to know for ourselves the way to harmony and happiness since we are responsible for ourselves. In a deeper understanding and wider view it is still following the guidance of our Higher Self because we are harmonizing our thinking and behavior. We come to release our grip on the ego and embrace our soul and true Being.

Ways of the World

We make our life the way it is. We must take responsibility for it and be courageous in the present moment and moments to come to help transform our self into a better condition.

We already know the right thing to do because we are part of Cosmic Mind, but we have temporarily forgotten that since we are experiencing a separatist, self-centered, egotistic mind. You loosen the grip of the subconscious ego every time you live in the present moment and enjoy now.

When we consciously work at it we eventually recognize what not to do and realize what to do.  Things like being conscious and accurate, making the best use of our time because it doesn’t come again, and being respectful and loving others unconditionally because they are just like us – beautiful Souls.

In Light and With Love, Portia SLB

Consider this quote to reflect upon:

“Subconsciousness is the shell which prevents the Living Spirit within from manifesting as powerfully as it should. When enough Rays of Truth pierce the subconsciousness, then subconsciousness will collapse like a balloon, and there will be no more subconsciousness.”

Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 98.

What Not to Do, Part 2

It Seems Justified!

As children we were expressly taught by our guardians what not to do for our own good. However, as adults most of us have fallen into some very detrimental behaviors that we learned unconsciously through observation and conditioning. Having unconsciously fallen into these patterns, we have to work at breaking their control over us by first becoming conscious of them.

First, be conscious!
First, be conscious!
(FreeDigitalPhotos.net, David Castillo Dominici)

We’ve Seen Others Do It….
And now we do it too!

1 – Like in the last post – we see people try to change someone else – that is definitely a what not to do because it can’t be done anyway.

Each of us are a powerhouse underneath this part of us we call personality, mind and body. We have to agree to change within our self first. The better route for everyone is to work on our own improvement and assist others that seek it.

2, 3, 4 – We definitely should not spend our time and effort thinking about what is beyond our immediate control, such as wasting time with regret over past mistakes or missed opportunities, or even worrying about the unknown future.

Let it go, otherwise you can get stuck in regret, guilt, and worry until it gets so bad it can make you mentally and physically sick. Instead, practice gratitude in the present and enjoy it as much as you can.

5+ – We repeatedly engage in negative things such as expressing impatience, being in a hurry, procrastinating and lazing around. Some more harmful ones are: lying, falling in a depression, losing our temper, negatively criticizing our self and others, and, fear of making a mistake.

These are all very habitual and self-centered, subconscious behaviors. When you are in it at the time they seem justified because of egotistic self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is one of the worst what not to do’s we experience!

image

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, Stuart Miles

Definitely What To Do!

We experience pain because the harmful energy of mindlessness we generate comes back and hits us like a ton of bricks. That is the power of Universal Mind and Love physically manifesting, but perverted by fearful thinking and powered by fearful emotions.

It takes courage to face the truth of egotistic behavior, yet you have all the power you need to rise above it. Consider being mindful, consciously aware of your thinking and motivation in order to release those harmful traits and emotions.

With a feeling of love rather than fear motivating you, you can live harmoniously in the Law of Cause and Effect with wondrous consequences!

In Light and With Love, Portia SLB

We will conclude this series with more What Not to Do in our next post, including ways to whole heartedly embrace what to do! Until next time consider this quote to reflect upon:

“To be Spiritual means to do the right thing, without thinking of being Spiritual. As our understanding grows, our sense of right grows also.”

Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 1.
