You created this moment

water lilly blue You have created

Each of us are in a personal transformation process of discovering and revealing our Real Self and soul. We are in a creative process – we create our reality  which is a reflection of our original spiritual power of creativity. But we repress  or deny that power of creativity or use it to cause us to be distracted or to misdirect it in negative creations and self-images that cause us to suffer.

We believe we are not smart enough, rich enough, thin enough, fit enough, witty enough, beautiful enough, educated enough. We feel lonely, depressed, worried, left out. Thinking and believing false assumptions until they become our self-concept and identity. We can feel justified for jealousy, hatred, and even take offense against others. These are our creations that cause us to suffer.

We will reap the effects of our thought, emotions and actions – and it will manifest in our life.

Create your happiness

We create a more harmonious, happy life with positive energy – positive thoughts, emotions, and of course, behaviors and actions. It all starts with our attitude!

Here are some simple ways to create a happier life for yourself, which will touch others also:

  1. Approach everything as being an opportunity to grow and learn the lesson of love, even during the most trying of times.

  2. Be conscious and mindful of the watcher of the thinker! Detach from negative thoughts and emotions.

  3. Be grateful for your opportunity of life and to have come this far.

  4. Listen to your intuition and follow through on the guidance.

  5. Express goodwill, kindness, caring and love from the tenderness of your heart to everyone, including yourself.

  6. Contact Universal Life Energy to energize and harmonize yourself.

  7. Mentally and emotionally connect to the Eternal with Declarations of Truth just before falling asleep. I am statements like: I am One with the Absolute, All Power, All Wisdom, All Truth, All Love and All Beings.

  8. Daily practice spiritual exercises, such as, Relaxation and Silence, meditation.

  9. Create something everyday – like when you were happy and in the moment creating as a child – art, cooking, writing, imaginative beauty – the ways are unlimited! Listen to your Higher Self.

  10. Smile!

Where is Our Happiness?

bee and butterfly

It is only in the present moment that we experience anything!

And, experiencing the moment is our life – in it we create our reality.

If we spend this moment thinking about what to do next, hurry up and finish this or what happened yesterday we are squandering our life. If we spend it trapped in subconscious traits of worry, anger, loneliness, and fear we are squandering now. We are creating a reality to sleepwalk in.

Our happiness is in this moment. Even if we remember happy moments in the past or possible ones in the future we are squandering now. Our obsession with time is a tool of the subconscious ego that feeds itself.

Connecting with Nature and enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature helps us remember our own inner beauty and helps us connect with Now. Any beauty, does when we recognize it and emotionally connect through love (beauty is a quality of love).

Thus, the mind being dominated by love helps us consciously reconnect with our Superconsciousness, our intuition and inner wisdom, which opens us to a vast expanding universal consciousness of which is Love.

“It is Mind which, when misused debases Life, and it is the problem of mind to regenerate Life, through the proper use of Knowledge.”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 247.

They Test our Patience!

what 6

We’ve all been there. Some people just have a knack for pissing us off! There will be occasions at work, at home, or while we are standing somewhere, when someone triggers an uneasy feeling in us. It can get our dander up!

Until we consciously address fearful emotions they will continue to plague us making us anxious or hard. They become habitual, part of our personality and disposition.

And, we can lose a sense of our True Self.

So What Can We Do?
It’s a matter of mental regulation – recognizing that every unpleasant emotion is a spiritual opportunity and synchronicity, where nothing happens by chance. It’s an opportunity we have set up for ourselves to release the burdens of the subconscious ego and align with our True Self and Love.

Most of us are unaware that the real source of our uneasiness is from fear that is rooted in the subconscious. It can grow there unnoticed only to resurface sooner or later as contentious emotions like anger, apprehension, worry, and hatred causing us bigger problems, even physical illness.

How to Start
When you start to feel some uneasiness, be fully conscious in the moment. Pause your thinking, take a deep breath, relax and quiet the mental chatter; be still. Consider making the Mental Contact with Universal Life Energy (Cosmic Energy, chi, prana, Life Force) to help you relax and refocus.

Be the ‘watcher of the thinker’ from a higher consciousness. Impersonally observe your body language, facial expressions, thoughts and attitude, drawing them into you and feeling them fully without harsh judgment.

Be courageous and very sincere in your examination. Sincerity opens our heart and mind to the inspiration of our Higher Self.

Keep in mind that people who challenge us emotionally are also on a spiritual journey, seeking ways to release the burden of the subconscious. Think of them as facilitators of spiritual synchronicity.

A Deeper Understanding
The reasoning, conscious mind can go only so far in understanding. That’s when we reach for inspiration from our Higher Self by asking questions of ourselves. Questions like:

  • Why am I feeling impatient?
  • Why is it so important to me that I am attached to it?
  • Am I coming from a place of fear or love in my heart?

If we recognize we are tempted by fear, we can let it pass us by, release it and choose another path – Love.

We will still move in our thinking and emotions, therefore, we can further abet release of the temptation by:

  1. Opening ourselves to a positive emotion like gratitude. A positive emotion negates a negative one.
  2. Manifesting a positive emotion physically in our behavior with a smile, a kind word or stillness.
  3. Changing our body language which can help us move into a positive emotion. Moving can disperse hormonal chemicals like adrenaline. It can take up to 90 seconds ——— to disperse negative energy.
  4. Make a sincere effort to see the Divine. When we see the Divine in another we are also invoking the power to see the Divine within ourselves!

A thought of Love and connection to Harmony destroys negative thoughts within us and we will feel a relief. This frees us from fixed ideas about attack, retaliation, correction and other fearful defenses.

When we choose Love we are transforming our thought process in our everyday life from fear to Love, thereby, breaking addictive, fearful patterns.

Hey, Buttercup

Hey, Buttercup

The kid inside
welcomes the bright
golden gift of love
and pure joy.

image

Kids and buttercups go together in my mind, maybe because most kids are happy and playing when they are outside in nature. I remember as a kid how it just made me happy inside to see even one buttercup! As it does Now. And, I hope does for You.

————

Buttercups can be found in fields, near forests, and even in flower gardens around the world. And, when you look at a bunch of them near ground level it looks like a band of yellow gold! Though you look down to see them as you are walking, they can inspire you to look up within and feel happiness inside.

-ooooooo-

Buttercups can be an analogy for real happiness in life, joy and laughter!

Perhaps the tenderness inside You can relate to the idea of buttercup!

Butterfly Wisdom – Drifting Desires

Floating Hopes

Drifting Desires

Though desires are realized, happiness is fleeting.

 Some drift downstream, continually retreating.

New desires drift in, some repeating.

Stay present, conscious mind, and desires begin depleting.

Fear of Terrorists, Part 2

The raging storm of terror that is generated by hatred, fear and self-righteousness is also unconsciously fed by associated fear-based traits like worry, prejudice, impatience, pride and ignorance. An impersonal analysis of the situation can help us calm the turbulent tempest in our thinking, free us to be in the moment, and with the help of the Eternal begin to enact inner peace.

image

Unconscious of fear

Terrorists also use religious and self-righteous claims as a means to unconsciously cover up their own fear and to abet hatred. Their egos feel threatened and powerless, so in trying to empower their egos they fall further into hatred with a responsive belief that they are doing the right thing. With so much negative energy circling they become a slave to it.

Plus, wanting their cause to grow, they use that negative energy to attract others. And it works. More people are joining terrorist organizations out of fear. Fear attracts more negative energy and fear.

The fear boomerang

It does not stop there because that fearful energy boomerangs back to the originators, burgeoning, attracting what they fear (retaliatory attacks and subjugation). It terrorizes them to the point of desperation and thus they attack again.

We don’t know what terrorists as individuals have been through to get this way, yet terrorism is an attention-getter that is really a cry for love. It is the ego that doesn’t know how to cope with the stress of change and is afraid.

Analogy

Acts of mindless killing or beheading by the terrorists are going beyond a spit in the face with disrespect. It is a very personal message to instill fear and to demonstrate their resolve to wreak havoc in their struggle for what they perceive as justice, trying to empower themselves. In their self-centeredness, fear and guilt they lose their empathy for others.

Cutting off the most ready means of identification is an allegory for losing one’s self. It is symbolic of the perpetrators losing their own head and sanity, cutting off all reasoning and consciousness; the fall of mind.

Black is symbolic of the unknown and the shrouded assassin in black is symbolic of the unknown fear of the terrorists.

Rise above doubt

Fear of terrorists cycles, boomerangs round and round, growing world-wide, attacking anyone that unconsciously feeds it with worry, prejudice, antagonism or other fear-based traits. All this because of doubt.

As discussed in the last post, we experience fear because we doubt our connection to and the support of the Eternal. Let us be brave and remember that we have the support of the Eternal, and enact unconditional Love instead of fear within ourselves. This can help us all to face the situation with courage, while not tolerating hatred, prejudice and egotistic self-righteousness.

In the final post of this series we will dig deeper for understanding, discuss the importance of faith and with the help of the Great Law, step closer to inner peace. Until then consider this quote to reflect upon:

“We should not say we are alone. We are not. We should rise above it and say, ‘I have within me the Sword of Truth, my helmet is the Inspiration from above.”

What Not to Do, Part 3

We’re Conditioned!

Sure, we were taught not to be impatient or loose our temper, but we do it anyway and get caught in these very habitual behaviors. We can’t seem to help our self.

Continuing from the previous two post’s list of what not to do:

We’re Conditioned to Believe

6 – We’ve conditioned our self to believe negative egotistic behaviors like fear, worry, resentment and greed are part of standard human behavior and are acceptable rather than consciously releasing them and regaining our freedom!

In fact, we can live in ‘what not to do’ for so long that we think it is ‘what to do’!

7 – We are conditioned to obey an ‘authority’ without first using our own discrimination process and listening to our Superconscious.

8 – We think it’s okay to tell little white lies to save our self from embarrassment or someone else’s involvement.

9 – We want to be liked, admired, and known as a nice person, and therefore, we mold our self to that image, trying to please others.

Spirit of Love

That gentle voice of intuition telling us that something is wrong, a what not to do moment, is our consciousness tapping into Superconsciousness which is part of our Soul and Universal Mind guiding us.

If we ignore the guidance of our Higher Self we still have backup means to help us know the right thing to do. We can reason with purposeful discrimination we learned through experience, conditioning and education, but we still have a choice to take it or leave it. It’s like the aphorism: You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Means of the Mind

Eventually, we must come to know for ourselves the way to harmony and happiness since we are responsible for ourselves. In a deeper understanding and wider view it is still following the guidance of our Higher Self because we are harmonizing our thinking and behavior. We come to release our grip on the ego and embrace our soul and true Being.

Ways of the World

We make our life the way it is. We must take responsibility for it and be courageous in the present moment and moments to come to help transform our self into a better condition.

We already know the right thing to do because we are part of Cosmic Mind, but we have temporarily forgotten that since we are experiencing a separatist, self-centered, egotistic mind. You loosen the grip of the subconscious ego every time you live in the present moment and enjoy now.

When we consciously work at it we eventually recognize what not to do and realize what to do.  Things like being conscious and accurate, making the best use of our time because it doesn’t come again, and being respectful and loving others unconditionally because they are just like us – beautiful Souls.

In Light and With Love, Portia SLB

Consider this quote to reflect upon:

“Subconsciousness is the shell which prevents the Living Spirit within from manifesting as powerfully as it should. When enough Rays of Truth pierce the subconsciousness, then subconsciousness will collapse like a balloon, and there will be no more subconsciousness.”

Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 98.

What Not to Do, Part 2

It Seems Justified!

As children we were expressly taught by our guardians what not to do for our own good. However, as adults most of us have fallen into some very detrimental behaviors that we learned unconsciously through observation and conditioning. Having unconsciously fallen into these patterns, we have to work at breaking their control over us by first becoming conscious of them.

First, be conscious!
First, be conscious!
(FreeDigitalPhotos.net, David Castillo Dominici)

We’ve Seen Others Do It….
And now we do it too!

1 – Like in the last post – we see people try to change someone else – that is definitely a what not to do because it can’t be done anyway.

Each of us are a powerhouse underneath this part of us we call personality, mind and body. We have to agree to change within our self first. The better route for everyone is to work on our own improvement and assist others that seek it.

2, 3, 4 – We definitely should not spend our time and effort thinking about what is beyond our immediate control, such as wasting time with regret over past mistakes or missed opportunities, or even worrying about the unknown future.

Let it go, otherwise you can get stuck in regret, guilt, and worry until it gets so bad it can make you mentally and physically sick. Instead, practice gratitude in the present and enjoy it as much as you can.

5+ – We repeatedly engage in negative things such as expressing impatience, being in a hurry, procrastinating and lazing around. Some more harmful ones are: lying, falling in a depression, losing our temper, negatively criticizing our self and others, and, fear of making a mistake.

These are all very habitual and self-centered, subconscious behaviors. When you are in it at the time they seem justified because of egotistic self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is one of the worst what not to do’s we experience!

image

FreeDigitalPhotos.net, Stuart Miles

Definitely What To Do!

We experience pain because the harmful energy of mindlessness we generate comes back and hits us like a ton of bricks. That is the power of Universal Mind and Love physically manifesting, but perverted by fearful thinking and powered by fearful emotions.

It takes courage to face the truth of egotistic behavior, yet you have all the power you need to rise above it. Consider being mindful, consciously aware of your thinking and motivation in order to release those harmful traits and emotions.

With a feeling of love rather than fear motivating you, you can live harmoniously in the Law of Cause and Effect with wondrous consequences!

In Light and With Love, Portia SLB

We will conclude this series with more What Not to Do in our next post, including ways to whole heartedly embrace what to do! Until next time consider this quote to reflect upon:

“To be Spiritual means to do the right thing, without thinking of being Spiritual. As our understanding grows, our sense of right grows also.”

Eugene Fersen, Aphorisms of The Lightbearer, page 1.

What Not to Do, Part 1

Ways of the World

There are plenty of websites and blogs that have lists of what not to do, such as ‘what not to do on your online dating profile’ and ‘what not to do in an interview’. Often times they can be very humorous while being true.

Yet, there are some very practical things to consider when it comes to what not to do when you want to improve your life and enlighten your spiritual journey.

discriminate

MEANS OF THE MIND
The subconscious doesn’t like to be told what not to do. That word ‘not’ or ‘n’t’ seems to disappear from our attention when used in a sentence, so consider reading the first sentence in this paragraph again! That’s the first important thing to remember about what not to do.

When you say to someone, especially a child, “don’t be afraid,” it’s like saying to the ego “be afraid, be very afraid!” Or, “don’t cry,” it’s like you are saying, “I understand why you are crying.” When you say, “don’t tell me what to do!” The subconscious of the person you’re speaking to tends to hear “tell me what to do,” and it’s almost irresistible for them not to tell you what to do!

When you say to yourself, “don’t forget,” the subconscious records the predominate word – forget. If you want to remember, say to yourself, “remember,” and mentally swallow it – you are programing the subconscious.

Be mindful and consciously choose the appropriate word as a directive to the subconscious since it is very good at recording thoughts and growing them, but not very good at recognizing the word ‘not’.

A very practical what not to do is try to change someone else. You can’t.

Everyone is incredibly strong. And, if you do try to change someone else you end up changing yourself! You ignore the health of your own sanity as self-righteousness and every subconscious trait that supports that line of thinking eats up the Light of your mind and emotions!

Everyone has a right to their thinking, even if it is harmful for them! Sad, but true. We can try to help them, but we can not change them. One of the best ways to help them is to work on changing our self for the better because it rubs off on those around us.

SPIRIT OF LOVE
Our great asset is our Higher Self, our Superconscious that speaks to us through intuition and inspiration which helps us know what not to do and what to do. And, we have the power of discrimination.

Knowledge is a means and power to help us advance and better our life, and along with soul sourced discrimination it can help us do that in universal balance.

With Light and Love, Portia SLB

We’ll share more things not to do that complicate your life in the next 2 upcoming posts with the help of the Great Law.

Until next time consider this quote to reflect upon:

“The subconsciousness always imposes on consciousness. It always wants us to do something. The Superconsciousness always wants to be asked. When we ask we should always believe that we will receive. The Eternal must answer when asked.”

Eugene Fersen, Pearls of Wisdom, Volume I, p. 313.

Simple Methods to Be Happier, Part 3

As humans we collectively experience unease and perpetuate unhappiness, even endangering ourselves, but there are some very realistic ways to turn this trend around. More than ever, there is an awakening in the world of our ability and opportunity to improve our condition, our happiness and our success by changing our concept of this very moment in terms of spiritual awareness. It’s not about religion or beliefs. It’s about changing our mind and changing our behaviors in the present moment to help us make those improvements. Being human we still let the ego dominate our thinking and experience complications and emotional issues. Change starts with one person reconnecting with their inner happiness and Real Self, which helps all the rest of us do the same.

Here are 3 more ways to boost your happiness now.

1. Release false beliefs about yourself. Negative ego traits, like anger, jealousy, resentment, and hatred, hurt. They not only hurt you, they hurt others. They are not part of the Real You, and the sooner you release them the happier you will be. Align with your Soul Powers, like enthusiasm, conscious awareness, sincerity and love. Read more in this website about Releasing False Beliefs about Yourself.

2. Balance your life. When we take care of our self it helps everyone else too, especially our family. As an individual – You are body, mind, emotions and spirit, and you will be healthier and happier when you balance those in your activities.

*BODY: Exercise your body through sports, walking or something you enjoy, because it does great things like helping reduce stress. Get  enough sleep and eat balanced meals. Do what is appropriate for your health. You’ll feel better.

**MIND: Ignorance is the main reason we are in the condition we are in now! That, along with pride and impatience. Strive to know Yourself; the Lightbearers’ Motto is: ‘Know thyself and thou shalt know All.’ All the Great Teachers of humanity have said the same thing. You are working on that right now!

***EMOTIONS: Learn to appreciate beauty in the arts, nature and people – that is using the mind and heart! Release false beliefs about yourself and instead focus on your inner divine qualities like compassion, caring and goodwill.

****SPIRIT: Most importantly, give attention each day to your spiritual nature and bring it to the surface of your thinking and activities. Consider daily meditation for 20 minutes because it can enhance your mindful awareness and help you relate to your True Self.

3. Foster your conscious connection with the Great Principle. Start your day out optimistically by cultivating gratitude, and also end your day optimistically by strengthening your conscious connection with the Great Principle. Make a declaration of Truth and leave behind all the false beliefs and troubles you may have encountered during the day. For at least 3 weeks, just before falling asleep, mentally realize and feel your connection to the Great Principle and manifest it physically by softly saying something similar to:

“I am Spirit and Matter, proceeding from and unceasingly connected to the Eternal, manifesting all the same Powers of Energy, Intelligence, Truth and Love.  Thank you.”

We hope you enjoyed this series because each of the 9 methods can truly boost your happiness. They’ve worked for me, and they can work for you too!

Next week we will be discussing What Not to Do! with the help of the Great Law. Until then, consider enacting some of the methods for a happier life and reflecting on this quote:

“… whenever we realize that we are a part of that One Life, we have then all the benefit of all the Forces and the Eternity of the One Life. But whenever we feel separate from that Life, then we lose our strength, and are at the mercy of circumstances, of fate; just as a little drop of water which is thrown out of the ocean and lies there alone on the sand … ”

Eugene Fersen, Science of Being, page 30.
